    [music fades out]

Chris Kennedy: Greetings Kennedy Kids! Welcome to the first ever edition of WORDS ARE WEAPONS. As you already know, I am your host, The Astonishing Chris Kennedy. With me tonight as he will be on every recording, is my co-host and best friend, The Monster Mac Michaud.

Mac Michaud: I just want to say this is the first time I've heard the intro song and I really think we should have sprung for Metallica.

Chris Kennedy: You think Metallica should be the only band left in the world. I've seen your ipod. It's all Metallica. I saw one song that I thought was The Misfits, but it was just Metallica covering the Misfits. "Die Die Die my Darling"

Mac Michaud: That's a great fucking track, man.

Chris Kennedy: Yeah, I admit it. Okay so it's a very special night, it being the first episode and all. Our first guests are two men my co host knows very well. Mac's manager, Rod Sterling, and Mac's long time rival and current mutual Sterling Guy, Drew Stevenson. But first, I want to take a moment to just address something. I've made a lot of movies over the past few years. Some have bombed, some have made a lot of money. At the end of the day, I consider myself a wrestler before an actor, but there will always be that part of me that loves to see my face on movie posters outside of cinemas. Many people may not know this, but one of the first movies I was ever in, was in the movie "Jack" with Robin Williams. I had a very small role, in fact, if it wasn't for my one and only speaking line, I'd just be an extra. It was a surreal moment, meeting Robin Williams. After we cut filming, I remember approaching him, and I was very shy. I said: Mr Williams, my name is Chris Kennedy, I'm Kerry Kennedy's son." I wasn't even able to get another word out before he began imitating my fathers Starcade promo, flawlessly nailing my fathers tone and mannerisms. I don't think I'd ever laughed that hard. I needed that, because this was right after my mother had died. I told him that I loved him in the movie Hook, and that one day, I wanted to be an actor like him. What he said to me then really made me think. he said "Listen, kid. This world can barely handle one Robin Williams, let alone two. Don't strive to be the 2nd Robin Williams or the 2nd Kerry Kennedy, strive to be the FIRST Chris Kennedy and the BEST Chris Kennedy." I took that advice with me until this very day.

It's sad. When a friend or family member dies, I go through this surreal phase where I keep hoping that it's a dream. I've never done that with an an actor until now. As a child, movies like Hook, Aladdin, Bicentennial Man, Jumanji, Flubber, they all made up my entire childhood. As an adult, I became to appreciate the likes of Dead Poets Society, Good Will Hunting, Good Morning Vietnam, What Dreams May Come, The Fisher King, Patch Adams, Insomina, all of that. It's funny that when people mention great actors of the modern era, they mention Tom Hanks, Denzell Washington, Robert DeNiro. No one ever mentions Robin WIlliams even though his resume of classic, timeless films stands toe to toe with all of theirs. R.I.P Robin. I hope you are finally happy wherever you are.

Mac Michaud: Yeah, I still don't believe it. Rest in Peace, Robin.

    [3 second moment of silence]

Chris Kennedy: Alright, now that we've got the sad stuff out of the way, let's not forget this is a night of celebration. We've cracked open the champagne, rolled out the finest Cuban cigars and as I said earlier, my guests in the studio tonight for the first ever Words Are Weapons podcast are two men I have a tremendous amount of respect for. The Emerald Drew Stevenson, and the mastermind Rod Sterling. Rod, Drew, thanks for being here guys.

Drew: Hey man, thanks for having us-it's a pleasure to be here!

Chris Kennedy: Yeah man, I know Tampa at rush hour is a bitch, I understand you and Rod had trouble down town?

    Rod Sterling: MY fault!

Mac Michaud: That doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

Drew: We had a few issues arise but nothing too major. Everybody knows that Tampa at rush-hour sucks but like I told Mr. Sterling here; I wouldn't miss this podcast for anything.

Mac Michaud: Yeah Drew, you never miss an opportunity to hear yourself talk.

    [group laughter]

Chris Kennedy: Hey now, hey now. You know, don't sweat it Rod, I've lived here for 28 years and I still get lost. But hey, I'm glad you guys made it. Drew, I know I already congratulated you when it happened but I also want our listeners to hear this too. You recently defeated Ashley O'Ryan, a man who beat me for my title. Congrats on a huge win Drew. That's incredible.

Drew: Thank you very much! I went into the match with a completely different mindset than usual, I had all the confidence in the world that I would win because I have been on a huge hot streak lately and my goal was first and foremost to make the impact that I told everybody about since day one and I think that I did just that when I not only beat Ashley O'Ryan, but I made him tap out in the middle of that ring to retain MY North American Championship.

Chris Kennedy: Indeed you did man. And I think on any other show that would have been the OMG moment of the night. But then, then you have PAJ finally capturing the World title after 5 long years and the unexpected return of Jack Of Diamonds, you kind of feel like the moment was lost to the wayside, yeah?

Drew: Yeah I do actually, I think there were a lot of big moments that occurred and I congratulate PAJ on his long journey of finally becoming the world champion after five years because he worked really hard to get it. As far as Jack of Diamonds goes? It's always good to see some of the older guys returning but the one thing that I'm already skeptical about is that he will jump immediately into the world title scene when many guys have been here busting their asses while he has been gone doing God knows what.

Chris Kennedy: This is always a concern, but every once in a while you have guys like Nate Richardson who comes back and works a 3 month feud with a scrappy upstart in the name of Drew Stevenson.

Rod Sterling: Nate Richardson is hardly a positive example. He came and he went, like all the old timers. But I am telling you now for god and the entire world to hear....The EMERALD Drew Stevenson and THE MONSTER Mac Michaud are both here to stay. You can bet on that.

Drew: I get what Chris is saying though. That's true as well and as long as he earns his spot back into the world title scene than it won't be an issue. But whether you love me or you hate me, I will be the first to say that there are many before him who deserve and have earned the right to get their shot at the world championship and hopefully they look at those guys first before a guy returning after how many years gets his shot?

Chris Kennedy: I can totally dig that

Drew: I knew that you could Chris, you have always been a guy who understands and sees talent and wants to see it pushed instead of wasted.

Chris Kennedy: I'm a fan just like anyone else hahaha. I want to see the guys who belong where they belong.

Drew: And that is just one of the reasons as to why I respect you as much as I do.

Chris Kennedy: Ah you're too kind man.Funny story I want to share with our listeners, but you and I actually ran into eachother not too long ago at a Rob Zombie concert a few weeks back

Drew: That is true, which is ironic because I never knew that you were a Rob Zombie fan but I was quite surprised when I saw you there. But yeah, you and I had a great time and afterwards had a lot of great conversations going as well.

Chris Kennedy: Rob's a cool dude, it was definitely a blast hanging with him and then you, it was random and surreal. I marked out when he broke out the White Zombie stuff earlier on man. It took me back to that punk ass kid I was 15 years ago. So tell me, because I gotta know and I plan on asking every guest this: What's on your iPod? Most listen to artists or bands?

Drew: The most listened to artists and bands on my list are Metallica, Shinedown, FFDP, AC/DC, some Tupac and some Eminem.

Chris Kennedy: You know, I get a lot of shit for this but I was never into Tupac. I'd even dare say he's overrated.

Drew: There's nothing wrong with that, everybody has different opinions and not everybody likes the same artists and music.

Chris Kennedy: You mean to tell me that not everyone digs Christian Contemporary Jazz Polka?

Drew: That is exactly what I am telling you! Not everyone digs Christian contemporary jazz polka music.

    Chris Kennedy: Uncultured swines!

Drew: Well that is true but what do you expect from a bunch of cretins who don't understand class and the likes?

Chris Kennedy: Hahahaha. What about you, Rod, what are you into?

Rod Sterling: My taste is much more different you young bucks. I'm old school all the way. The Beatles, The Stones, Led Zep, The Who, Dylan, Sinatra, Johnny Cash, Elivs.

Mac Michaud: So basically, if it came out before 1978, we can find it on your iPod.

Rod Sterling: Oh Hardy Harr Harr, ass wipe!

    [Group laughter]

Chris Kennedy: Hahaha. Okay, so Drew, I'm trying to remember, what was your very first match in the FWA?

Drew: That's a loaded question, hahaha. I mean, do you remember yours?

Chris Kennedy: Of course I do. It was James Sync, when he was painting his face and calling himself "KJ Killer Jester Fonze". It was a weird gimmick, and it didn't last long. In fact, this was a week before he was fired from the FWA so I remember that well. I won the match, but the son of a but the son of a bitch was working so stiff that I didn't know if the guy was hazing me or if he just legitimately couldn't wrestle. I think it may have been both hahaha. So come on then, who popped your FWA cherry? James Reign? Tommy Driver? Johnny Octane?

Drew: Oh hell, truth be told I can't even remember. Mac has hit me so many times in the head with a steel chair since then that some things in the FWA are still blurry.

Chris Kennedy: Let's talk about that. Mac Michaud is one of my best friends and you guys are both "Sterling" guys. You two have had an interesting history, both raising up in the ranks at the same time, from the X-Division to the TV Title scene, you two have had some wars.

Drew: We sure have and I respect the hell out of you, Mac. For the longest time, both of us had to prove to each other as well as to the FWA just who the better man was and we used to beat the absolute hell out of each other just to prove that. I remember walking out of more than one match completely covered in blood at the hands of Mac.

Mac Michaud: And it will never be over until I've covered my hands in every last drop of yours.

Rod Sterling: Hey now, Hey now fellas, you take eachother out and then I will have no clients left at all.

Chris Kennedy: Mac is definitely your most stand out feud. I think of Mac, I think of Nate Richardson and that guy that ended your X-Division title reign, La Muerte Banyo....La Mongo Botchky, La Parka Magarita, all hell what was that jokers name?

Drew chuckles, "La Muerta Blanca? That Mexican asshole!"

    Chris Kennedy:
    Hahahahaha. Yeah, fuck that guy.

Mac Michaud: This is ridiculous, you are both fully aware that Chris was La Muerte Blanca all along!

Rod Sterling: The listeners can't see this but I'm actually face palming right now.

    Mac Michaud: Shut up Rod!

Chris Kennedy: Allright Drew, we don't have too much time left, so I guess if I could ask one last question, it'd be this. Where is Drew one year from today?

Drew: One year from now? You better believe that I WILL be the FWA Champion! I have busted my ass since day one, I have sacrificed everything for this company and I REFUSE to just sit back and be complacent with whatever role that I'm given. From here on out? I am going to start TAKING any and everything that *I* want around here and there isn't a soul alive who is going to stop me.

    Mac Michaud: *Ahem*

Rod Sterling: Let me just say that I look at these two men, Mac and Drew, and I see the future. Chris Kennedy, I've got no reason to believe that these men won't find the same amount of success you have. Look at Drew, his ring ability is unrivaled and he is nearing the prime of his career. Look at The Monster Mac Michaud, he is a massive wrecking ball of hate and anguish. He doesn't care about winning, he just wants to HURT as many people as possible. I look at my clients and I see two cold blooded killers, I see two predators at the top of their food chains. You see, Ashley O'Ryan, a former FWA Champion who beat even YOU for the FWA Championship, simply couldn't defeat Drew Stevenson. Dave Sullivan may have won the first battle, but Mac Michaud won the final battle and ultimately the WAR. Now they BOTH set their sights on the future. Drew Stevenson is going to continue to defend his North American Championship against every single fart knocker that comes his way and he will quite simply DESTROY them, leaving them with nothing. Mac Michaud, well the Monster doesn't care about winning, Mac just wants blood, he wants violence and he wants to tear his opponents limb from them and it's for that very reason, this hardcore icon, this MONSTER, will set his sights on the FWA's most violent division, the X-Division, where he made a name for himself capturing the FWA X-Division Championship in a brutal, bloody, history making hardcore match with Ryan Rondo. You see, Mac Michaud and Drew Stevenson are the future of the FWA and that doesn't mean tomorrow or the day after because quite frankly the future is NOW. It's theirs for the taking, and anyone who steps in their way will be DEALT WITH, swiftly.

Chris Kennedy: ...aaaaaaaaand we are out of time. Another minute and I'll have to plug Hulu again.

    Drew Stevenson: Plug what?

Chris Kennedy:HULU PLUS! For only 7.99 a month, you have full access to all of your favorite...
Mac Michaud: Okay, I'm cutting your damn mic.

Chris Kennedy: Alright, alright. Thanks for listening to the show, Kennedy Kids. For Drew Stevenson, Rod Sterling and Mac Michaud, this is Chris Kennedy telling you all to be safe and tune in next week. Ciao!

    ==================

That said, this was a really great read although $7.99 doesn't sound nearly as good as
