Yeah but from what I saw it's just in 95, when the War just begin. Next episode is probably 96-97 and when it gets real heavy with the attitude era starting in late 97. Still I love the show, especially the old footage. That little spot where you see the two spots and their ratings on certain days, nice touch.

I love me some Monday Night Wars stuff. No matter what people say about him, it was cool to see Schiavone again. But it doesn't seem like they touched on many new things that weren't already covered in the other Monday Night docs. Should be interesting to see what they cover in future episodes. Obviously the downfall of WCW/rise of WWF will be covered, but other parts are intriguing.

So...where is it? I can't seem to find the show in any section on the Network, including the search.

It might've been one time only sneak peak

Re: The Monday Night War Discussion Thread

Thanks to the fine folks at the WWE Network not having the Monday Night Wars episode on the site, I had to pirate something I should have received with my subscription. Thanks WWE Network!

Anyways, the first episode was okay. There's a lot of repetitive info and I can't say I learned anything new. I was surprised at the whole omission of the head-to-head PPV battle in between 1987 and 1989 between the WWE and WCW. Those four nights were fairly noteworthy is basically the Monday Night War long before there was a Monday Night War. In addition, I got a chuckle out of the show trying to downplay all of the WWE's problems in the mid 90's. Acting as if everything was just peachy and improving when really the company was losing money and lost a lot of footing they had in the mid to late 80's? They freely admitted the WCW woes, why try to lie to the fans to make the WWE seem like they were always super duper successful?

As far as advancing all the way to the end of 1995 in the first episode, I'm sure it'll be fine. Once the nWo gets going, there's going to be a million things to talk about. Like most of the other original programing on the Network, I don't find the show to be must see, but it's a good way to kill an hour and have a little fun reminiscing.

In the meantime, where's the weekly WCW TV shows on the Network?

I liked the first episode or in this case, the sneak peek. Maybe they will show more information behind WCW and WWF that I didn't know.

tbf they called it a sneak peak for a reason, so them not adding it would make sense.

I still don't know if it's just a 'preview' episode or the first episode, as both have been said. I don't know if they're going to do a weekly deal about each week with the episodes coming with it, or if it's only going to be an 8 episode series documenting it.

    Should be interesting.

I guess the ability to archive their shows was left out in the budget cuts.

    Weak joke.

Seriously though, they better upload Nitros with the show when it starts going.

Luger looks better now than he did at Mayhem in 2000.
