Really pleased that I got the two wins after the defeat, especially over Pescara who were in great form in 1st place.

I have had to contend with injuries to Martinez and Crescenzi, as well as suspensions and international duty so I am pleased to be top of the table.

    Re: Football Manager General Discussion

Obviously season started off relatively nice. Then we had the game against Varese to decide who would go up to be first and then we lost 0-3 and since everything's gone to shit. Back to back games of conceding 4 goals and before that, 3 straight games of conceding 3 goals. I've decided I might as well use my less proven keeper at this point since this dude is doing fuck all. Really hope we get out of this slump soon.

I've been extremely lucky since the teams below me have been slumping and losing games too but one bad game day and I could drop down 6 places, that's how bad my current situation is. Varese and Termana are slowly but surely pulling away ever since Varese beat me -_-

EDIT: I partially blame Sansovini's injury as one of the reasons for the slump. He was our leading striker and had 9 goals in 12 games with a 7.09 average rating. He's been injured for the past 8 games and is out for another 4 weeks. Extremely disappointing.

Finally managed to notch a win but Lepiller gets injured and is out for 2 months (thanks to being sent to a specialist. I think I'm going to cancel Martinez loan, 5 goals in 18 appearances, 6.72 rating. He doesn't really justify 4 times the salary of the second highest paid player. Spezia and Empoli have the chance to take my spot on goal difference, I end up losing but they both lost too and the teams that beat them are now replaced as the teams poised to take my spot -_-

    ------

My team's luck finally runs out. We lose against Juve Stabia 1-0, Modena/Carpi/Empola all get draws and wins and I tumble down the table. Fuck yes FM.

Pretty much given up on getting automatic promotion and will have to pray for a good showing in the playoffs. 2 wins in 10 games. If it wasn't for that winning streak, we'd be struggling to survive relegation.

    -------

Earlier in teh season I was competing for first. Now I'm competing to make the playoffs. Ternana just beat me and dropped me to 9th. Sansovini is back but couldn't help us beat them. There's a 3 point spread from 3rd to 10th. Way too close for me liking. The fans are clamoring for me to change my formation.

Sticking with it though. Managed to sign Katildis to a 2 year extension after praising him. A win over Citadella also gets us in 4th place on goal difference. We need to ride the momentum and get into good form after that 4 game losing streak

    --------

March 8, 2014... Marco Rigoni has decided he wants to stay. Fuck yes. I had no intention of selling him so now I can attempt to resign him. But board won't let me offer him and extra 1K and he doesn't want 4.8K. Fuck me.

Cant ride the wave. We get obliterated by Padova next game -_- As much as I want promotion, how the fuck will we even survive Serie A :/ 5-0 loss and we drop right back down to 10th. We've also conceded the second most goals in the league yet scored 3rd most. Why the fuck does our defense suck so hard? No idea.

    ---------

If I dont do something, we wont be competing in the playoffs. Using a plug & play tactic. I'll feel cheap for using it but my tactics just aren't working anymore and when they do, it's insanely inconsistent.

    Fuck this game.

Damn, unlucky! Are you going to stick with them or start a new game?

I don't know man. I'll tell you after I'm done cutting myself

Got a smaller budget, smaller sponsors. Gonna see how the team looks at the beginning of the season and decide rather I want to do it.

New season, team is for the most part revamped. And we've started off great, 1st as well as 23 points in 10 games. Then this happened: Worst team in the league. You tell me. I've never had this bad a loss against a team I should've squashed.

LOL @ that 7-1 Jon, looks like a ridiculous freak result given the stats for the game.

I'm in for the whole day now so I should get a fair way through the season, still sitting pretty on top of the table and don't really look like going on a bad run!

Right with you guys all talking about FM i have decided to carry on with my epic game which sees me in January 2033. Here is the current league table.

I am about to face Bristol City in the first leg of the League Cup semi, face Torquay in a replay in the FA Cup and have Inter in the first knockout round of the Champions League.

    Here is my star player:

I am also England manager and won the World Cup in 2030.

    Re: Football Manager General Discussion

So after the great start to the season we had a bit of a blip, losing 4-0 to Citadella and conceding 3 more against Bari, we were playing badly and conceding far too many chances. So I decided to switch up the tactics and haven't looked back.

Now only conceded 1 goal in the last 8 matches, including a 4-0 away victory over Hellas Verona in the cup who are in Serie A. We are still dominating games at around 60% possession but now we don't concede many chances with the extra defender. This is the formation I changed to, with the playing style and philosophy being very similar.

Hoping we will go up as Champions, and then would need a big overhaul of the squad as it isn't good enough for the higher league.

I'm shocked you changed formations being that you spent so much time making the previous one Yup definitely need the revamp, there's only a couple players good enough for Serie B.

Yeah, before I had more quality in defence, playing 2 cbs just wasn't getting the results.... Oh, and check this out, probably one of my best results in football manager, with 10 men!

    Re: Football Manager General Discussion

Just secured promotion with one game left to boot. Gonzales went on another 10 game drought and I wanna murder him. Once he secured promotion, both him and Katidis decided they didn't want to leave anymore. Time to see what Serie A has for me.

Managed to break the record for goals socred in a season for Serie B in my very last game (the record was 95, I scored 98), could've killed it if I hadn't gotten on a slump.

    Re: Football Manager General Discussion

I have name fixes For some reason the logo pack didnt work though it worked for the german leagues.

So I got 185K of wage and 14M or so of transfer budget.

Since I got a lot of old people on free's, several of them are retiring and obviously the standard gets higher. Signed Di Natale as a Under 19 coach, and intend to sign Pirlo as one as well once his contract ends.

The guys I'm looking at are Jean Corentin, Lorenzo Crisetig, Pierre-Michael Lassonga, and Adryan.

Umm guys, I genuinely think my tactic has broken the game, I'm in to the Semi-Finals and I am absolutely raping these teams, I hit the woodwork on more than one occasion. These aren't smash and grab fluke wins I am legitimately pwning them.

    Re: Football Manager General Discussion

I agree with Simmo. Ludi is still on my team, no longer starting but he's rotating in whenever necessary. Also he's been on the team so long, I'd like for him to retire here, he's about to reach a decade with the team next season.

I still urge you to get rid of the young ones with 2 star or less potential so as to cut the wage budget a bit, Martinez hasn't been worth the 40K either. Solid signings by the way, I have legitimately not loaned a single player since the ones you start with, I'm not a fan of loaning players.

Getting ready for my Roma/Milan/Juventus run.

    1. Beat Roma 3-2, dominated them more or less (54% poss., twice as many shots) and they scored at the 88th, was fearful they'd scored in injury time.
