What a strike that was from Craig Gardner, had been a pretty awful game up to then. Surprised Sotuhampton have dropped players like Rodriguez when they are perfectly safe in the league. I wouldn't be happy if i was a Saints fan.

Also shocking attendance up in Sunderland especially when the tickets are on £15 for an adult and £5 for a child.

A lot of Sunderland fans are forking out big for Wembley, and with the weather being so adverse it is no wonder the attendance is down.

TNA like attendance from Sunderland. Can't be pansies because of a bit of bad weather.

Re: FA Cup 5th Round Discussion

I don't understand that team selection from Mauricio Pochettino.

They don't have another league game for a week, and they're about as marooned in the lower top half as its possible to be, they have nothing to play for in the league, sort of like Man Utd...

They don't have another game for a week, so why start with Guly, Davis and Hooiveld. Real shame as they are a side that it would have been nice to see reach a final, given all the English youngsters. Baffling to me, I know the league is more important than the FA Cup, but given the circumstances?

And how many were at the toon today?

Not surprised it was a low attendance considering there's wembley coming up, some as well would have paid for City midweek only for it to be called off and then theres next week away at Arsenal too, not exactly cheap at the minute.

Haven't seen highlights yet but heard it on the radio and sounded like a great goal from Gardner.

So no opinion by anybody who's been online about the City/Chelsea game?

I thought we were excellent today, far better than 12 days ago, look fully controlled of the game and never looked like losing, ots funny how ceratin people missed this game but saw the league game(which was available to less people).

Surely there's always fewer posts on Saturday nights? I might be wrong just guessing..

But yeah City were good, Jovetic took his goal very well and could be important in the run-in. Nice to see Nasri back and sharp, not sure about the FIFA tramp goal to make it 2-0 though!

I only saw the 2nd half as i was at work and then forgot it was on

Would like to avoid City now that they've got their big players coming back.

City were very good throughout. Garcia should have started the first match in the league not Demichelis. Kompany and Silva were excellent as well.

City just simply wanted it more.

I thought Mourinho's selection was a bit suspect.

Re: FA Cup 5th Round Discussion

Man City certainly had a fresher looking line up. They also wanted it more. Playing Mikel made us basically start with ten men.

Mourinho's treatment of Ashley Cole is not helping the team, should have been drafted in to allow Luiz to continue the partnership with Matic. Matic was so isolated because of Mikel's inability to keep position or even play the ball forward. Matic trying to mark Toure and Silva on his own.

City well worth the win but there was no fight from too many Chelsea players, a lot should have been rotated.

Oh well, hopefully City go on and reach the semi-final at least, more games for them helps us in the title race. Probably going to win it

I fully expected to lose to Pool today, with the way the boss was talking we were gonna rest up for more league matches.

Re: FA Cup 5th Round Discussion

Chamberlain played well but Howard Webb had a stinker.

Pool should have had a pen at 2-1 and Gerrard should have walked.

Arsenal/Everton tie of the next round.
