Bloody hell Crocker - City with a Saturday 3pm kick off~!

Looking forward to the return of Lukaku, he should get a great reception, and obviously the first game under Pepe Mel, will be very interesting to see any changes in style of play/tactics. I think we can pull off an upset.

Hopefully the good ol new manager hits the ground running with a win booking is applied in Monday nights match. Surely it's what's best for business

seriously though a west Brom win on Monday would be great considering just how tight the 4th place run is. Chelsea/Man U should also be pretty damn fun to watch.

We have a 100% record when I've been to away games (1 win from 1....against Martin Jol's Fulham....when we had Rooney and Van Persie up front). Surely this all points to a United win on Sunday?

So Rooney is set to miss the match at Stamford Bridge and RVP has backed Moyes as the manager. I would be delighted with a point at Stamford Bridge, unfortunately i doubt we will come away with one.

That's a harsh straight red for Vidic, don't think anyone would have disagreed with a yellow. Rafa's is the red of the two challenges

Rafael's was a cowards tackle, but nothing will be done about it because the referee booked him(ridiculous rule), agreed Vidic's red card was harsh, also fans throwing stuff at Ivanovic while he's lying on the ground is pretty disgusting.

United's defending at times was terrible.

Only one thing was thrown and it was at Terry not Ivanovic. I think it was a coin.

Not defending it obviously just stating the facts. Rafael definitely should have gone for his tackle. Apparently Vidic's was a red card because he made no attempt to get the ball, but since when did that constitute a straight red? We'll be seeing a lot more of them if that's the case.

Ivanovic was lying on the floor towards the end of the game and at least two objects were thrown at him, one was a lighter.

Yeah it was thrown when Terry came over to check on him I'm pretty sure. I only saw one object.

It was a frustrating day all round, not that that excuses such behaviour. I thought they were really lucky to be 3-0 up but then the fact that they didn't play well and still comfortably beat us is a worry.

The tackle on Welbeck was a pen, but they never give it if the striker gets the shot away, even if anywhere else on the pitch it would be a free kick.

Happy with a point after a dire first half, should be playing Borini more up front instead of on the wings.

Re: Premier League Discussion January 18th-20th

I think that's a good point against a good Everton team, haven't lost to them in both games this year. I thought Pepe got the starting line up wrong, Mulumbu starting is a no brainer, Billy Jones is the better right back to Reid, and Gera and Anelka play the exact same always drifting, drop off the striker, pass the ball around the edge of the box, never shoot role so it's a waste to play them both. That said, Pepe already reads the game much better than Clarke did, he recognised there was room for improvement in the performance and made all three changes early enough that they had time to make an impact, Anichebe especially who gave us something extra up front. I noticed the difference in our tactics, more compact, more pressing, higher line of defence, just worry about Lugano's snail pace will get us caught out every game, Big Mac should be back soon. Fair play to Pepe too for giving the post match interview in English.

Zoopla are crass PR hunters. Anelka made his ill advised gesture a month ago and they choose a couple of hours before we go live on Sky to announce they are ending their sponsorship of us at the end of the season..........when the deal was going to expire and the club already expressed an interest in moving onto other sponsors. It was hardly worth an announcement.
