    Re: Anime Official Discussion

Sword Art Online is the worst anime I've watched, probably. I've watched quite a bit of bad ones. Pretty disheartening since I really enjoyed the concept. Fortunately, the isekai genre has really blown up since (in part thanks to SAO), so at least something good came out of it. I've also heard that SAO: Gungale is pretty solid so I may check that out one day once my bad will for the name goes away.

Ghost in the Shell the movie is fucking glorious. Also watch anything by Satoshi Kon, Mamoru Hosoda, Studio Ghibli, Makoto Shinkai, Naoko Yamada, Masaaki Yuasa (off the top of my head). They're amazing filmmakers.

    Re: Anime Official Discussion

Yeah the only Anime I'm watching right now since finishing Mob Psycho Season 2 is Boruto and Dororo which is going to be ending soon as well. For sure I'll be needing to fill those spots during the week in a few weeks.

If their something I would love to see a Live Action version is Dororo. Granted I get it not everything translates well on screen, and people drop the ball bringing the Show to life in the right way, but I don't think it wouldn't be hard to create a Show about a Demon Samurai going out killing Ghouls trying to right his curse.

I would also say the Second half of Season 3 of Attack on Titan has been great two Episodes in for sure as well. If this Boxing it would be Ali vs Frazier greatness I'm seeing so far. I'm liable to just rewatch Hunter X Hunter again and relive all the great moments as if I'm watching it for the first time.

Watched Digimon Tri Chapter 1, confirms everything I prefer about this franchise to Pokemon. Better characters (and progression, these ones actually grow up!), better monsters, and this one part is already miles better than all the animated Pokemon movies I've watched recently

I enjoyed the hell outta Tri and loved how it ended. So many emotional moments that made me love Digimon more than I ever did as a kid have fun watching Dave. Attack on Titan's newest Episode another banger of an Episode. You look at Reiner and Bertholdt and see how all of this came to be, and they think in their minds the World being destroyed needs to happen. Also the guy with the Glasses yeah I know who you are, don't need to read the Manga to know who that is. I might need to after this Season is done though.

The other day I must of watched one of the funniest Boruto/Naruto Episode ever with Kakashi and Guy in their old age. I enjoy filler generally when it's done right, and this was done in the right matter while giving you a meaning to the Story with Mirai being their bodyguard in a sense.

Digimon has always been a really good and much more in depth show than Pokémon. Tri was a great addition to the series as well.

I feel like comparing Digimon anime to Pokemon anime isn't much of a compliment to Digimon just because Pokemon is pretty trash. It's been ages though but I remember loving the Digimon early series growing up. I think I watched the 1st episode of Tri and it was too slow/aimless for me to really dive into yet. Ill give it another go later.

I never really got into Digimon that being said that PS1 game was awesome. I thought Pokemon up to 3rd gen was good i stopped watching playing after that. So idk how either are doing now.

    Re: Anime Official Discussion

    Digimon was fun.
    Pokemon was okay.

Neither were anything special or great, but they were fun and good for the age range intended.

Digimon definitely was better, especially the first 3 seasons.
    Everything will surely be alright.

I agree that Pokemon is aimed more at a younger audience. Still, wouldn't hurt it to at least try to progress once in a while.

    Re: Anime Official Discussion

I mean, some anime aimed at a younger audience is entirely gold and has a lot of depth.

Cardcaptor Sakura and Sailor Moon both are really good.

Prince of Tennis was fun for what it was. Hamtaro is well written and cute.
    Everything will surely be alright.
