Unfortunately it's been just over a year since we last crowned a King of WC (cause let me tell you this is not a bloody treat to run!) and with the the creator of the tournament still MIA, I have taken it upon myself been peer-pressured for the past couple of months to keep the annual tradition first started in 2006 alive! All the same, I've kept the format very much the same as Nicky did, so much so I've copied and pasted large parts of this from last year's Nomination thread, so if it looks VERY familiar, that's why.
Now usually Nicky gives a little run down of what happened in the previous year's KOWC but really I don't remember that much of it. The essential details are Jim won in the first ever KOWC Final triple threat, supposedly after a lot of campaigning, and Nash thinks he was screwed or some crap, which no doubt we will hear countless times in this year's KOWC!
With that very, VERY brief recap of last year's tourney over, we begin the long and twisting road to claim the new King of WC 2013!
Forget the nub rumbles. Forget the nub wrestler tourneys. Forget WC Survivor - ugh that didn't even happen this year did it? Forget the random alliances. This was AND IS the one fun, pointless, and annual event that brings us all together to show you who is the true stand out guy (or lady) of the forums!
Before we get started, let's clear one thing up. This tourny has regularly caused rifts between members, which I for one enjoy watching, but Nicky apparently didn't so people please don't take this seriously! Keep in mind that this this for fun and laughs. Over the years, we've saw people who were usually cool with each other constantly fight, and as I said earlier, one section of the tournament was ruined due to unneeded complaining/flaming (this was aimed at 2010 Tommy I believe! That's how much this has been copied!).
Now for a little run-down of our former Kings! This will be the ninth time this competition has been carried out, so here are the 8 former Kings of WC (technically 6 different members):

The nomination process will remain the same as last year, and so YOU the members still hold the power as to who they want to see in the tourney. The members of WC get to nominate and decide who enters the tournament. There will be seeding and divisional brackets (based off four former KoWC winners who have fallen away from the forum for varying reasons in the Lemonz, Deuce, Paulzo, and Tyler brackets...waitaminute, fuck that! If I'm running this thing, I'm damn well going to have a bracket this year, plus Lems is active again anyway. Deuce can go bounce!).
NOMINATION RULES AND GUIDELINES
- Firstly, to allow you to nominate you must have at least 250 posts and have been a member for more than 3 months.
- You may nominate up to 10 members, no more!
- Members with five repeated nominations automatically enter the tournament
- Nomination process will stop when there are 32 valid members nominated
- Tournament seeding will be determined by the speed in which someone is nominated (meaning the first member with five nominations will be the number one seed, the last will be 32)
- Give the CURRENT USER NAME of the person you're nominating, or as close as you can.
- NO EDITING YOUR NOMINATION LIST
ELIGIBILITY FOR NOMINEES
- Members are automatically eligible for a nomination if they are a VIP/Platinum member, a Hall of Famer, or a staff member (sorry non-plats)
- Members who are not platinum members may be up for nomination if they were registered members before January 2013, have 500 posts or over, and a valid reputation. (your welcome non-plats who've been around a while)
- Members that are nominated cannot be banned or currently inactive members (sorry HoHo)
- We have also been informed that King Jim wants to relinquish his reign and so will not be eligible for nominations this year!
- Oh, and you can't nominate yourself obv!
Now then, let's continue the tradition known as King of WC! I'm hoping the member base take to this like they have in previous years!
Winner will get a few reps, a sig that I will hopefully get ready by next year's competition, a snazzy crown, Ed's S-Mod spot and a place in WC history!
(Note: Not all prizes are guaranteed, in fact last year Jim received absolutely none of these!)
