Cyber Sunday WWE: The New Vision

WWE: The New Vision

Saturday 1st May 2010

It is a new beginning for the WWE after a poor start to the year despite TNA failing to take advantage with their move to Monday nights. Shane McMahon has left and Vince is getting increasingly bored of the PG direction the WWE is heading. Therefore he has advertised the position of head writer and has chosen to hire Luke Gardener, an English man with plenty of experience in writing show scripts and for wrestling promotions in the UK. He has also written television shows giving him an extra edge to his CV when Vince was looking to who he was going to hire. Already some executive decisions have been made and the Women’s Championship has been retired and the Cruiserweight Championship introduced. The Cruiserweight, DIVA’s and Unified Tag Team Titles are to be seen on both RAW and SmackDown! The WWE, World Heavyweight, United States and Intercontinental Titles will stay on their respective brands. WWE NXT has also been cancelled in favour of keeping WWE Superstars. The guest host initiative has also been stopped and Vickie Guerrero has been given the opportunity once again to become the General Manager of RAW with Theodore Long remaining as SmackDown! General Manager. The rosters are below and the title holders as well. This is a new beginning for the WWE!

This BTB leading in to Wrestlemania 26, this year seems like a blur to me but I do remember liking it. You had Nexus debuting and everything with that and Straight Edge Society. I wish you luck with the project.

Re: WWE: The New Vision - May 2010 start date

Monday 3rd May 2010

RAW this week comes from Detroit, Michigan as we are just three weeks away from Extreme Rules. To open the show we understand that Mr. McMahon will formally introduce Vickie Guerrero as the new General Manager of RAW bringing to an end the guest hosting of recent weeks. We have also heard that Vickie has a huge announcement regarding the WWE Championship and Extreme Rules.
Also, this week on RAW we understand that The Miz will defend his United States Championship against Christian which promises to be a great match but will The Miz be distracted after being in tag team competition as part of ShowMiz in the past few months and can he avoid the Killswitch at all costs to retain the gold? Christian is certainly going to look and spring a surprise on the self-proclaimed awesome one of the WWE.

In other action, the newly crowned Cruiserweight Champion who is eligible along with the DIVA’s and the Unified Tag Team Champions to appear on both RAW and SmackDown, Evan Bourne will take on Zack Ryder. If Ryder wins he must surely be in the Cruiserweight Championship picture. As well as this, we understand that the unique team of MVP and Santino Marella will take on Jack Swagger and a mystery tag team partner of Swagger’s choosing. Tune in to RAW this Monday for all the action and more!

CONFIRMED MATCHES

The Miz vs. Christian
UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP

Evan Bourne vs. Zack Ryder
NON-TITLE

MVP & Santino Marella vs. Jack Swagger & ???

Willis, what are you on about Wrestlemania 24 for, that happened in 2008!

2010 is the year that got me back into watching WWE, and it's a year that I think could do with some rebooking and more TLC for angles. Nexus started great, but it had it's problems and bombed after a month, they should of been as protected as The Shield are now. SES were so fucking awesome, but then they fired the most promising diva character in years with Serena and then jobbed them all the Big Show, that should of all been leading to Punk getting the WHC, keep that thing away from Kane.

Being the genius that I am, I know where those two know each other from *cough* caws *cough*

Anywho, since I'm spontaneously posting, I might as well comment. Not a big fan of the instant immediate changes (retiring womens, bringing in cruiserweight, removing NXT, etc.) but I guess in the end, you just want to get your vision out there immediately so while I'm a sucker for a great backstory, I can still live without it.

RAW – 3rd May 2010

A Statement Sent

The RAW stage explodes with fireworks, as the camera pans across the crowd and lands ringside on Michael Cole and Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler who welcome us to the show.

Cole:
Welcome to Monday Night RAW everybody, Michael Cole and Hall of Famer, Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler at ringside for the longest running episodic TV programme in history!
King:
And tonight Michael we have a huge night on our hands, the United States Title is on the line between The Miz and Captain Charisma, Christian as well as Vickie Guerrero claiming she has a huge announcement for the WWE Championship to do with Extreme Rules.
Cole:
Indeed King, and we are just three weeks away from that Pay Per View event and tonight promises to shape that evening. Now let’s hand you over to ring announcer Justin Roberts.

Justin Roberts:
Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome the chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment, MR. MCMAHON!

The crowd boo immediately as they hear Vince McMahon’s music play and he walks wearing a grey suit with blue shirt in his usual arrogant and cocky way. He enters the ring and looks more pleased with himself than ever before starting to address the Detroit, Michigan crowd.

Mr. McMahon:
Thank you, thank you for that overwhelming welcome. Now, here on RAW over the past few months we have seen guest host after guest host and quite frankly superstars have been running around thinking they can run this show. That is why I have ended guest hosting of Monday Night RAW and I have hired a woman with the power, hunger and desire to run this show and to help return this show to the heights it was once at. This woman has a wealth of experience and is the wife of one of the greatest wrestlers the WWE has ever produced. She is none other than, VICKIE GUERRERO!

Vickie enters the arena and walks down the ramp looking extremely happy. She stumbles her way into the ring as the crowd give her a massive amount of heat. She shakes Mr. McMahon’s hand and he hands her the microphone before leaving up the ramp and through the curtain.

Vickie Guerrero:
Excuse me! (The crowd gives more heat than ever) I said Excuse me! (They continue to berate the new General Manager) I promise that on RAW Vickie Guerrero will make history and return this show to where it belongs; the top of the WWE and the top of this industry. With me Vickie Guerrero at the helm things are going to change starting with the WWE Champion, John Cena.

The crowd cheer loudly at the hearing of the WWE Champion’s name before Vickie carries on with her address.

Vickie Guerrero:
At Extreme Rules which is just three weeks away the WWE Championship will be defended by John Cena and his opponent will be………………

BATISTA!

The crowd boo Vickie more than ever after this announcement as she shouts excuse me once again.

Vickie Guerrero:
And because of the rematch clause in Batista’s contract he can pick any match he wants and he has requested that John Cena will defend his WWE Championship at Extreme Rules in a LAST MAN STANDING Match!

The crowd pops as they like the brutality of the match and feel Cena has a good chance of defending the championship.

Vickie Guerrero:
Furthermore, tonight Batista has been given the night off after a hard few weeks following WrestleMania but John Cena will be in tonight’s main event against the biggest athlete in the world and one half of the Unified Tag Team Champions, the BIG SHOW!!!

Vickie gives the microphone to the timekeeper before making her way up the ramp as the screen fades and RAW goes to a commercial break.

----------------------------------------

Cole:
Welcome back to RAW everyone and we have learned that tonight our main event will see John Cena the WWE Champion take on the Big Show and Batista has been given the night off.
King:
And don’t forget Michael that Vickie Guerrero just announced at Extreme Rules we will see Cena go one-on-one with Batista for the gold in a Last Man Standing match!
Cole:
Well that is for three weeks time but right now the United States Championship is going to be on the line.

UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP
The Miz vs. Christian

The Miz makes his way to the ring and gets a lot of booing as expected but then Christian’s music hits and the exact reverse occurs. Christian gets the loudest pop of the night so far before signalling to The Miz that he will win the US Title. The referee shows the belt to all four sides of the ring before calling for the bell. The match is slow to start with but as it goes on the pace picks up with Christian hitting a forearm from the top rope and The Miz hitting his trademark clothesline with Christian at the turnbuckle. Miz then takes control with the Reality Check but is unable to get the three count. The Miz hammers away at Christian before taunting to the crowd and then goes for a scoop slam but Christian rolls down the back of The Miz and hits an Inverted DDT. He then tosses the champion into the turnbuckle and runs at him but Miz sidesteps and then runs at Christian. Christian manages to get out the way and hit the reverse kick to the face before going to the top rope and hitting a Crossbody for a near fall. Christian claps his hands and the fans start clapping in time. Christian sets up for the Killswitch but The Miz reverses and goes for the Skull Crushing Finale but Christian is able to twist the arm of The Miz and gets him in position for the Killswitch! Christian covers and the crowd count with the referee. 1, 2, 3! Christian has beaten The Miz and we have a new United States Champion!

Cole:
Christian did it! We have a new United States Champion King!
King:
We do indeed Cole and listen to Christian’s peeps they love it but The Miz is fuming, I think he just realised that he lost the title. What a match!
Cole:
Well let’s send it backstage to our broadcast colleague Josh Mathews.

Josh Mathews:
Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome my guest at this time, the Viper, Randy Orton! Now Randy after defeating Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania what is in the future for you, is the issue with the former Legacy members over?

Randy Orton:
Josh, what happened at WrestleMania was what I was telling everyone was going to happen at WrestleMania. Randy Orton never promises to do something without managing it. And as for what happened at WrestleMania as far as I am concerned me, Ted and Cody have nothing to settle. Cody is on the shelf after I punted him in the head and as for Ted DiBiase he is living off his Father’s Legacy and isn’t in or anywhere near my league. Now if you’ll excuse me Josh I have things to take care of.

Randy Orton walks off the interview set as the screen fades and RAW goes to a commercial.

----------------------------------------

Cole:
We are back on RAW and set for action with the Cruiserweight Champion and the rising superstar that is Zack Ryder.

NON-TITLE SINGLES MATCH
Evan Bourne vs. Zack Ryder

Zack Ryder and Evan Bourne make their entrances and the match starts off frantically as Evan Bourne hits a series of fast and flowing moves including a sensational double knee dive from the top rope to get a near fall. Evan Bourne then manages to hit a standing Moonsault for another near fall. Bourne looks in complete control as he goes for an enzuiguri but Ryder is able to duck underneath and Evan hits the mat hard. Ryder follows it up with the Rough Ryder for a close to three two count and sets up for the Zack Attack. It looks like he is going to hit it but Bourne is able to somehow reverse it into a School Boy but Ryder gets the shoulder up. Bourne tries to end it after hitting a jaw shattering knee to the face and climbs the top rope. However as Bourne prepares to hit Air Bourne Ryder is able to pull the ropes and then throw Bourne to the canvas from the top rope. Ryder goes for the cover but still he can’t get the three count. Ryder again goes for the Zack Attack but Bourne reverses only to be reversed again into a roll up and Ryder has the tights for the 1, 2, 3! Ryder picks up a huge win over the Cruiserweight Champion but it was by pulling the tights.

Cole:
Ryder had the tights, he had the tights and the referee never saw it, how did he not see that.
King:
You do whatever it takes to get the win Michael and Zack Ryder just picked up a huge win and it doesn’t look like he is finished yet either.

Zack Ryder hammers away at Evan Bourne despite the match being over and then hits the Zack Attack out of nowhere before taunting to the crowd but as he turns around Daniel Bryan has entered the ring after running down the ramp and Bryan hits a number of kicks to Ryder. Daniel Bryan then hits a Belly to Back suplex with Ryder rolling out of the ring to avoid more punishment. Ryder looks angry as Evan Bourne and Daniel Bryan stand victorious in the middle of the ring with Bourne holding the Cruiserweight Championship aloft.

Cole:
Evan Bourne has a lot to thank Daniel Bryan for right now, things were looking bad for the Cruiserweight Champion.
King:
He does indeed. Bryan may just have saved Bourne but Zack Ryder doesn’t look happy at all despite gaining a huge win over the champion tonight.
Cole:
Well up next everyone is Kofi Kingston going one-on-one with one of the members of Legacy, Ted DiBiase.

SINGLES MATCH
Ted DiBiase vs. Kofi Kingston

Ted DiBiase enters the arena to a chorus of boos and looks incredibly angry and aggressive. Kofi Kingston on the other hand makes his entrance to a huge ovation and sets off his huge pyro before posing to the crowd. The referee rings the bell and these two superstars lock up. In the early going Ted DiBiase gets the upper hand and is able to ground the high-flying Kofi. He locks in a sleeper hold and an arm bar before picking up the pace and running behind his opponent hitting an impactful clothesline. Things don’t look good for Kofi at this juncture as he struggles to stay on his feet. However Ted DiBiase waits for Kofi to get up and tries to toss him into the turnbuckle but Kofi reverses it and leaps hitting punches followed by a shoulder thrust and then a huge dropkick to set up the Boom Drop for a near fall. Kofi Kingston then manages to hit the SOS for another extremely near fall. Kofi is on a roll and starts to slap his hands in his usual way which means he is looking to hit Trouble in Paradise but Ted manages to duck under it and lock in the Cobra Clutch and then quickly turns it into Dream Street out of nowhere. The referee counts; 1, 2, 3! Ted DiBiase gets a big win over Kofi Kingston and leaves the ring but only to grab a chair. He picks up Kofi and nails him with the chair sending him crashing to the head and Kofi is busted open as well. Ted DiBiase taunts with the chair in the air as the camera fades and RAW goes to a commercial.

----------------------------------------

RAW returns from a commercial break and Ted DiBiase barges into Vickie Guerrero’s office sweating and with blood on his hands following his vicious assault on Kofi Kingston before the commercial.

Ted DiBiase:
Vickie, did you just see that, that is what I am capable of and after hearing Randy earlier he needs to feel some of that pain. Vickie I want a match against Orton at Extreme Rules to settle this once and for all, not only that I want it to be a First Blood Match, please Vicky make the match and I promise Randy will never have experienced the pain and suffering I will show him at Extreme Rules.

Vickie Guerrero:
Ted calm down are you sure about this?

Ted DiBiase nods his head and looks more evil than ever.

Vickie Guerrero:
Well fine it will be Ted DiBiase and Randy Orton in a First Blood Match at Extreme Rules, good luck Ted and next time knock before you enter.

Cole:
Wow another match announced for Extreme Rules, the Viper Rand Orton will face the man he has mentored over the past year, Ted DiBiase in a First Blood Match no less!
King:
Can you believe that? What an announcement! And we still have Big Show facing John Cena in tonight’s main event to come!
Cole:
But before that King it is Jack Swagger with a mystery partner against the unique pairing of Santino Marella and MVP.

TAG TEAM MATCH
Jack Swagger & ??? vs. MVP & Santino Marella

MVP and Santino Marella enter and get a good ovation although they don’t look particularly comfortable teaming with one another tonight. Jack Swagger, the money in the bank holder enters and he then point at the titantron as the mystery partner is revealed…

It’s Lance Cade! Lance Cade has returned to the WWE to team with Jack Swagger, what a shocker! The crowd boo heavily at the returning superstar who in his last run was known as Chris Jericho’s protégé. The match starts with Jack Swagger and Santino and Swagger dominates the Italian hitting suplexes and dominating with his amateur background before making a series of tags with Lance Cade. Cade is all out power hitting a jumping leg drop and a beautiful dropkick. Swagger is back in now and looks for the Gutwrench powerbomb but Santino is able to hit a clothesline and make a quick tag to MVP. MVP then cleans house taking out Cade and Swagger with clotheslines, kicks and a knee to the head of Cade sending him out of the ring. MVP tosses Swagger to the turnbuckle and goes for the boot and connect but only for a two count. MVP sets up Jack Swagger for the Playmaker but Swagger reverses and tags in Cade who has knocked Santino off the apron behind the referees back. MVP goes for a clothesline but Cade ducks underneath and connects with a sitout side slam spinebuster! Cade covers and the referee counts; 1, 2, 3! Lance Cade makes a winning return to WWE with Jack Swagger as a tag team partner. Cade and Swagger taunt as RAW goes to another commercial.

----------------------------------------

RAW returns from a commercial with the camera backstage in the locker room area with the Masterpiece Chris Masters being approached by the French sensation, Maryse.

Maryse:
Hey Chris, you are looking fantastique tonight. What are you doing later?

Chris Masters:
Well I am kind of busy tonight Maryse.

Maryse:
Well I am sure you can make yourself free for some French kissi…

Eve Torres enters the locker room after hearing Maryse and looks extremely angry.

Eve Torres:
Maryse, get out of this locker room I am on a date with Chris tonight and he doesn’t want anything to do with you!

Maryse is shocked but arrogantly smiles and then walks off flicking her hair on the way out and acting nonchalantly as the camera cuts back to the ring and Justin Roberts.

Justin Roberts:
Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome, the Celtic Warrior, SHEAMUS!

Sheamus enters through the curtain and the crowd are booing immediately for the first Irish born WWE Champion in history. He makes his way to the ring walking with a real purpose and picking a microphone off of the steel steps on his way and settles in the middle of the ring before speaking.

Sheamus:
Shut up! I am waiting to talk. At WrestleMania the Game got lucky by defeating the Celtic Warrior and that is why I am out here. I want Triple H at Extreme Rules, and I am going to make the Game wish he never got involved with me. And then after I defeat the Game I will once again become the WWE Champion! Now if your manly enough Hunter I am challenging you to a match at Extreme Rules but not any match I want to beat you so bad that I am going to make you speak the two words no-one thinks you will ever say. I QUIT! So Triple H come out here and tell me face-to-face whether you accept or will walk away from the future of this industry, me Sheamus!

The crowd are giving Sheamus a hard time throughout his address and now start chanting for Triple H as his music hits the PA System but Triple H is nowhere to be seen. Then out of nowhere he come from behind with a sledgehammer in hand and knocks Sheamus off his feet before delivering an earth shattering Pedigree! He then picks up the microphone…

Triple H:
YOUR ON! And at Extreme Rules Sheamus it will be Game Over!!!

Triple H drops the microphone and taunts with huge intensity before making his way up the ramp leaving a motionless Sheamus in the middle of the ring as RAW goes to it’s final commercial break.

----------------------------------------

Cole:
We are back on RAW and before the commercial break Triple H attacked Sheamus with a sledgehammer before delivering the Pedigree meaning it will be Sheamus and the Game at Extreme Rules in an I Quit Match!
King:
What a night it has been three matches have been announced for Extreme Rules and it is now time for our main event match which sees John Cena the WWE Champion take on the Big Show!

NON-TITLE SINGLES MATCH
John Cena vs. Big Show

Big Show is first to enter to a chorus of boos but he ignores the crowd and raises his Unified Tag Championship belts high above his head before John Cena enters to a great ovation and holds is WWE Championship belt aloft. The match starts with senior official Mike Chioda ringing the bell and Big Show is able to overwhelm the WWE Champion with his power and size. He hits a number of high impact chops a side slam and a massive boot to get a near fall before gaining some more offence when he manages to hit the Final Cut! 1, 2, NO! Cena shows some great resilience to kick out despite taking a lot of impact from the Largest Athlete in the World. Big Show now tosses Cena across the ring before going to the second rope and goes for a move which would have no doubt squashed Cena like a fly but instead Cena rolls out of the way and starts to build some momentum. He hits a number of punches and two flying shoulders but still Show is on his feet. Cena now goes to the top rope and hits a leg drop to the back of the head which does knock the big man down. Cena now sets up for the Five Knuckle Shuffle but as he goes to the ropes Batista’s music hits and he walks down the ramp. Cena hits the Five Knuckle shuffle before staring at the Animal and going over to the ropes to taunt. Cena turns around to carry on his attack but BAM! Big Show hits the knockout punch out of nowhere; 1, 2, 3! Big Show pins the WWE Champion! Before Big Show’s music even starts playing Batista is in the ring and attacks Cena. He hits a number of punches before hitting a Batista Bomb and then picks the Champion up another time for yet another Batista Bomb! Batista has made an impact and holds John Cena’s WWE Championship belt in the air as the crowd give him a massive amount of heat as the screen fades and RAW goes off the air.

Re: WWE: The New Vision - May 2010 start date

Glad to see this over here Order...

By all accounts, this was a build up show designed to set the table for your next PPV and you pulled that off nicely. First thing I noticed is you have agot quite a few heels getting over. ITs a common mistake because Bookers sometimes focus on angles individually and don't see each angle in the context of the whole show.Christian was your only face that really got over. That could send the fans home with less than a smile. Sometimes that is good. I just wouldn't make a habit of it.

*The return of Lance Cade is a good thing. Very under rated performer with tons of potential. Like the Cade/Swagger team. IT could juice up your tag division if you choose to keep it.

*DiBiase was a guy I had pegged for big things in real life... it just never happened. It is very good to see you bringing out his aggresive side here.

*Cena and Batista would make most Internet fans groan, but its a smart match-up that Vince would book (and did book). The build up tonight was typical heel fare, but its a good start.

Keep it up, man. This is a good diary with staying power and I'm sure it will catch on here. Look forward to reading and commenting on it.

Re: WWE: The New Vision - May 2010 start date

Your writing and presentation are good, I don't really want to waste talking to you about that. Instead, I'll focus on the #1 draw to this BTB to me, and that's the booking decisions your making.

The first thing I noticed is that this doesn't follow the exact schedule the WWE ran with, because Extreme Rules 2010 was the end of April, so something to get used to there.

Good, you're getting rid of the anonymous GM's, Vickie fits the role well to compliment face Teddy Long. Batista V Cena is logical, but let's leave the duct tape at home this time

I'm in two minds on Miz dropping the United States Championship. For me one of the positives of 2010 when the year was over and done with was that they took a risk in making Miz the WWE Champion, and their new big heel. I'd have liked to see him continued to be booked stronger in this BTB, and he yet could be as Tag Champion, but that remains to be seen. On the other hand, Christian is a solid hand who can have better matches than Miz and could do for the US belt what Jericho and Mysterio did for the IC belt in 2009 (think that was the year anyway!), plus he really did nothing after ECW ended, I'm racking my brains trying to remember what he did other than be written off when Del Rio debuted. Christian for US Champion is a good transition back into main programming for him.

I really think you should of introduced the Cruiserweight Championship in these opening weeks of you BTB, I'm just getting used to the idea that title is back and Bourne is the champion, and then he's getting pinned by Ryder. I'd care more about that result if i'd seen the titles resurrection.

Good to see Ted get some good booking here. I was certain he'd be the breakout star of Legacy, not Cody, so seeing you take him down a different path rather than throw Maryse at him is pleasing. Match against Orton, yes please, jesus remember how that 3 way feud all disappeared after WM26?

I'm not a big Lance Cade fan, so I don't really care for him coming back. He dies by August 2010, so I'm not sure he was the wisest guy to bring in here.

Triple H V Sheamus at Extreme Rules, I'm fine with that, Trip's needs to put Sheamus over like he should do.

Big Show pinning the WWE Champion, that's not how I saw that going down, He has the tag belts so I doubt he's going to be put into the WWE title picture so soon.

The booking surrounding the main eventers like Cena, Batista and Triple H I'm fine with as they need to reach their conclusion before you swap to something else. What I'm really enjoying is how you're handling your mid card talents like Christian and Ted DiBiase. They'll be key going forward I think.

Nice work, hope to see more soon.

Re: WWE: The New Vision - May 2010 start date

Hello. I'm going to be reviewing your Monday Night RAW show. I have heard good things about your Booker even though it is relativily new. Let's see what this thing is and what the hype is about.

Good introduction from Cole and King with the recap. The Vince McMahon segment was ok but it could have been more logical. So, Vince McMahon is a heel in your booker then because I don't think a face would say something that sounds that insulting about the guest hosts also Vince seems to be bending over backwards and kissing Vickie's ass with things such as "Wealth of experience."

Vickie Guerrero's promo was a bit better. The fans did what they were ment to. They boo'd her just like they should when it comes to the heels. I think it would have been better if Batista could have come out and told us what the stipulation is. So it's a last man standing match? I can only hope that the Duct Tape is hidden from Cena. That was a poor ending to the match lol. (Nothing on you of cause.) So Big Show vs. John Cena in the main event? Ok.

I personaly don't write out my matches except for on Pay-Per-View's and Pre-Shows just like I will be doing for my Extreme Rules show on WWE 2013: Aftermath of Wrestlemania. (Cheap Plug by me lol.) New United States Champion? That kind of tells me this isn't going to be a feud then ends before the end of the forseable future. Why did Christian get a title shot? Maybe a replay of something that had happened like did he win a #1 contenders match?

No problems with the Josh Matthews and Randy Orton interview. Orton said all that needed to be say and unlike on WWE TV, Josh didn't sound like a total tool and asked an actually ok question unlike usual.

So Zack Ryder is a heel in this? I don't really see what that is going to do because Zack is plain and boring. Wow. He actually won at match. First time for everything. In your commentary after the match, is King a heel because he said "Do what ever it takes to win." I thought a face would be 100% against it.

I think the attack after the match shows that it will be Evan Bourne defending the title against Zack Ryder at Extreme Rules. I'm not sure where Daniel Bruan fits in with all this though.

Would I be right in thinking DiBiase vs. Kingston was nothing more then a filler match. Not sure why Dibiase attacked Kofi. Oh so that's why, Randy Orton vs. Ted DiBiase in a first blood match? It would be so funny if Cody Rhodes was the referee lol.

Jack Swagger and Lance Cade vs. MVP and Santino Marrella? It's quite obvious who is going to win. Not sure why that match happened and why MVP wasn't very happy teaming with Marella. Glad to see Cade back in the E.

A love triangle between Maryse, Chris Masters and Eve Torres? That can only mean I need to bring out the "Still a better love story then Twighlight." I didn't spell that right. So, is Maryse a good guy in this?

Sheamus's promo sounded just what it would be from a heel. Good job their getting the charector right. I liked the Pedigree. So that is 3 matches already made for Extreme Rules?
- John Cena vs. Batista (Last Man Standing)
- Randy Orton vs. Ted DiBiase (First Blood Match)
- Sheamus vs. Triple H (???)

I'm predicting that Sheamus vs. Triple H will be contested under Extreme Rules or No Holds Barred because you havn't announce it.

Ok, I was wrong, as I've gone down, an I Quit Match? It's funny. I don't actually see either Sheamus or Triple H saying I Quit. I don't think a good guy has ever lost an I quit match so I see Triple H being the victor.

Nice main event match between John Cena and the Big Show. I'm suprised their wasn't any action from Chris Jericho on the outside. It's quite obvious that Batista would attack John Cena before the night was up.

Good show from you and I will be reading your Smackdown show. Congratulations on your Booker thread. I really enjoyed the read. Also for Extreme Rules, if you need some graphics like match cards, I recomend you check out this thread -

Re: WWE: The New Vision - May 2010 start date

Heres a "live" review for you: (keep in mind that I didn't watch WWE until 2012, so there will be a few things I don't recall clearly.

I like that you've gotten rid of the hideous "anonymous GM" thing, and put Vickie in charge. I really love a good heel GM/Commish that adds layers to stories, and stacks the odds against the face.

Batista vs John Cena. again. maybe its just because now I've seen them wrestle each other 500000008 times, but I just really want Cena to face some new blood.

Christian vs Miz. I like that Christian wins the US title, but I hope a feud is forthcoming. Miz was pretty good as the US champ, and Christian is a great wrestler, capable of getting good matches out of Miz. Building Miz toward the Main Event is still a possibility and having him mow through some mid-carders is a good way to do that. I like where this could go.

I don't know.. is Orton the face? or is he a tweener? the stuff he says is kind of heel-ish, but I know that Rhodes and DiBiase are heels. regardless, it appears that you could set up DiBiase or Rhodes to get a rub from Orton. Either could be great.

I like that you brought back the CW title. Did I miss something, how did Bourne win the belt? pinning Hornswaggle? regardless, I like Ryder using some underhanded tactics to win. His character now is just soo boring, so hopefully you can add some layers to that before he gets so annoying

D-Bry and Bourne working together? just promise me that you wont bury Bryan with a CW title reign. He could be the Dean Malenko of that division, but he deserves so much more than that

DiBiase vs Kingston could be a good match. I like how you do the face in peril thing with Kofi. What I didn't like what there were alot of finishers that were kicked out of or reversed. Too me that kind of hurts the legitimacy of the moves, but regardless. I liked ending. DiBiase overcoming the furious comeback. DiBiase is losing it a bit, eh? Like it. Frustration will do him good against Orton.

Orton vs DiBiase in a first blood match?! Rhodes is interfering for sure.

hahahahahahahahahaha Lance Cade and Swagger as a team because they have the same music. lol.
MVP and Santino sound like the most god awful tag team ever. The right team won here, just wondering where this all goes.

I dont get the whole Torres-Masters-Maryse thing....

I kind of like how you blur the lines of face/heel with the HHH/Sheamus thing. I wouldn't do it too much, as it can lose its luster quickly.

Cena vs Big Show. This is another match I've seen suck so many times that I don't really care. Typical Super Cena come back. I like the distraction thing with Batista, and Cena loses cleanly. I LOVE when the challenger takes the belt and holds it up. its such a slap in the face and I love it.
I wonder if this could start a team of sorts between Miz, Show and Batista?

Raw rating.... 6.83? WHAT?

Are you using TEW or EWR? Just kind of curious where you would get such a high number from, considering those are like attitude era numbers.

Overall, I liked your show and the build towards ER is pretty decent. did you re=arrange the PPVS? How long is it until the PPV? It might be in there somewhere and I just skipped over it.

Anyways, keep it up bud. I'll be reading and reviewing as I can.

I am using EWR mate and yh the ratings are kind of unrelaistic. I have altered some of the dates. There will be another 2 RAW's, 3 Superstars and 3 SmackDown's until Extreme Rules. Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated!

Re: WWE: The New Vision - May 2010 start date

Thursday 6th May 2010

This week on WWE Superstars four matches have been booked by Vickie Guerrero and Theodore Long. Following events on RAW Vickie Guerrero has put Eve and Maryse in a match after Eve was unhappy with the French sensation trying to flirt with her man, Chris Masters. Similarly after Zack Ryder picked up a huge win over the Cruiserweight Champion, Evan Bourne he tried to attack but Daniel Bryan stopped him from getting too far so these two will square off.

On the SmackDown side of the show the Intercontinental Champion, Drew McIntyre has been put in a match against Matt Hardy who has frustrated McIntyre particularly when beating him to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania XXVI. In the main event of the show it will be the British team of William Regal and Paul Burchill facing The Hart Dynasty who have their sights firmly set on ShowMiz and a Unified Tag Team Championship opportunity.

Tune in to Superstars on WGN America this Thursday.

CONFIRMED MATCHES

Eve Torres vs. Maryse

Matt Hardy vs. Drew McIntyre
NON-TITLE

Daniel Bryan vs. Zack Ryder

William Regal & Paul Burchill vs. The Hart Dynasty

Superstars – 6th May 2010

The Dynasty’s Destiny?

Grisham:
Welcome everyone to WWE Superstars, Todd Grisham alongside Matt Striker and tonight we have a great selection of matches with champions and rising superstars all having their say and speaking of champions let’s kick things off with the Intercontinental Champion.

NON-TITLE SINGLES MATCH
Drew McIntyre vs. Matt Hardy

The Intercontinental Champion enters first slowly with his belt around his waist and in white pants with a blue cross to signify his Scottish heritage. After slowly getting in the ring Matt Hardy’s music hits and the whole atmosphere changes dramatically. Hardy taunts before entering the ring and the match starts. Hardy is like a house on fire to begin with firing right hand after right hand at McIntyre and Drew leaves the ring and regroups. Hardy then dives out of the ring onto McIntyre. The two eventually return to the ring and Hardy goes for a Twist of Fate but McIntyre reverses and hits a clothesline followed by a dropkick and then a beautiful snap suplex. Drew McIntyre now waits for Hardy to get to his feet and sets up a big boot but Hardy is able to duck underneath and hits a huge Side Effect for a near fall. Matt then sets up the Intercontinental Champion for the Twist of Fate but McIntyre reverses into a roll up and grabs the ropes; 1, 2, 3! McIntyre cheats to steal a win over Matt Hardy.

Grisham:
McIntyre had the ropes, he had the ropes!
Striker:
He did Todd but he didn’t get caught and the Intercontinental Champion just got a huge win in our opening match on Superstars.

----------------------------------------

Superstars returns from a commercial break when Luke Gallows and Serena make their way to the ring without CM Punk. The crowd boo as Gallows taunts and Serena looks evil as ever. Gallows picks up a microphone and is ready to speak.

Luke Gallows:
Now CM Punk is not here tonight and he has told me the first disciple and Serena to make an impact here on Superstars. So tonight the Straight Edge Society will make a step forward and prove their dominance once again. I, Luke Gallows challenge any superstar from any show to come out here and face me in a match, in fact not a match a brawl. Come on someone come down.

Shelton Benjamin’s music hits the PA system and he walks calmly and coolly down to the ring before leaping to the apron and tackling Luke Gallows to the mat. Serena runs out the ring while Gallows and Shelton fight it out in the ring. Serena returns with a steel chair but Benjamin ducks a shot and hits PayDirt on Luke Gallows before grabbing the chair and cornering Serena who manages to escape out of the ring. As Shelton turns around Gallows is back to his feet but Shelton nails him with the chair before taunting to the crowd who start cheering for the best athlete in the WWE before the music of Eve Torres hits for the next match.

SINGLES MATCH
Eve Torres vs. Maryse

The match starts with Eve going all out on Maryse after seeing her trying to flirt with the Masterpiece on RAW. They brawl for a while before Eve hits some nice forearms and then a dropkick. Maryse looks shocked by Eve and starts to let her aggression out. She attacks by hitting a massive boot to Eve who looks out for the count but she can only get a two count. Maryse now looks for the DDT which has given her the DIVA’s title in the past but Eve reverses and slams Maryse to the mat before hitting a running front Senton and covers; 1, 2, 3! Eve picks up a huge win and is rolling recently can she get her self into the DIVA’s Championship picture though?

The camera cuts backstage as Josh Mathews is standing by for an interview.

Josh Mathews:
Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome my guests at this time, David Hart Smith, Tyson Kidd and Natalya; The Hart Dynasty! Guys tonight you face the British physical team of William Regal and Paul Burchill, what are your thoughts on the match?

David Hart Smith:
Todd tonight I will beat William Regal and Paul Burchill along with Tyson Kidd and then we will go onto challenge ShowMiz at Extreme Rules.

Tyson Kidd:
And we won’t only challenge The Miz and Big Show we will defeat them and become the next Unified Tag Team Champions and make Bret Hart proud who is mentoring us and will be with us every week from now on supporting what we do.

Natalya:
There will be no stopping the Hart Dynasty so WWE Universe, watch out!

Natalya laughs as the camera fades and we go to another commercial break.

----------------------------------------

Cole:
Welcome back to Superstars everyone and it is time for our third match of the evening with two superstars with their sights perhaps on Cruiserweight gold.
King:
Without doubt, Zack Ryder has made it obvious he plans on winning the gold from Evan Bourne in the near future but Daniel Bryan perhaps as you say fancies the gold as well.

SINGLES MATCH
Zack Ryder vs. Daniel Bryan

Ryder and Bryan make their ways to the ring to contrasting ovations with Daniel Bryan very much the crowd favourite. He keeps the ovation going by starting the match at a fast tempo taking Ryder down with a number of submission float-overs and amateur wrestling moves unlike the Cruiserweight division. Daniel Bryan then gives us some more familiar moves including a head scissors and a beautiful enzuiguri to the side of Zack Ryder’s head. Bryan is dominating and goes to the top rope and attempts a missile dropkick which connects followed by a pin attempt but he can only get a two count. Bryan now picks Ryder up and hits an explosive Regal-plex holding as well for the pin but again can only get a two count. Daniel Bryan has been scintillating throughout the match and locks in the Cattle Mutilation. Ryder writhes around in agony but passes out handing Bryan a dominant win. Daniel Bryan celebrates as he makes is way up the ramp and through the curtain as the camera sits on the announcers ringside.

Cole:
What a dominant win from the American Dragon, Daniel Bryan. Zack Ryder couldn’t get anywhere in that match King and that has to put Daniel Bryan in the hunt for championships in the future.
King:
I would agree with you there Cole but although it was dominant you feel that Bryan will have to face better opponents in the future no disrespect to Zack Ryder who is learning all the time.
Cole:
Well it is now time for our main event!

TAG TEAM MATCH
William Regal & Paul Burchill vs. The Hart Dynasty

Regal and Burchill get a poor response from the crowd but after The Hart Dynasty’s earlier interview they get a great ovation and Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart accompanies them to the ring. Regal and Burchill are able to isolate Tyson Kidd, the smaller man of the Hart Dynasty well for most of the match with both hitting typical ground and pound manoeuvres. Regal in particular is very aggressive hitting a number of suplexes including the Regal-plex which was used in the previous match by Daniel Bryan. The real shift of momentum in the match comes when Tyson Kidd is able to hit a high impact roundhouse kick which sends William Regal to the mat and both men are down as the referee counts. Regal is able to make a tag to Burchill and Kidd tags in David Hart Smith! Smith runs in and hits clotheslines on both his opponents and then Tyson Kidd hits a Suicide dive on Regal to eliminate him from the equation. DH Smith is able to pick up Burchill on his shoulder and hits the running powerslam before Bret Hart shouts from ringside to lock in the sharpshooter. David Hart Smith obliges and locks in the sharpshooter which Paul Burchill taps out to almost immediately. The Hart Dynasty pick up a great win to build momentum. After the match the three members of The Hart Dynasty and Bret Hart hold their arms aloft as Superstars goes off the air.

Re: WWE: The New Vision - May 2010 start date

This show didn't really blow me away, everything on the Hart Dynasty front was really generic (why was it called a 6 man tag btw?) which I guess makes sense as in 2013 they still aren't very good talkers, let alone 3 years ago, but still it doesn't make it very engaging to read.

Shelton still being booked is odd after he left post Mania 26, is he sticking around for the long haul? At any rate I'd have liked to see Luke Gallows booked stronger, he ended up looking like a fool in that segment.

Daniel Bryan and Drew McIntyre winning ftw

Yh this episode was just to build them up a little really, Superstars gets a better show as this diary goes on. I use it more like the WWE use Main Event in real life to be honest.

Friday 7th May 2010

On SmackDown this week the main event is absolutely huge. Theodore Long has announced that World Heavyweight Champion, Chris Jericho will have no choice but to face the Undertaker. It is thought the match could go a long way to determining who will face Chris Jericho for the title at Extreme Rules and you have to believe other superstars such as Edge may see it as an opportunity to get involved. Can Jericho beat the Deadman or will he be the next victim?

As well as this, it will be a big night for The Hart Dynasty who will face off against the Unified Tag Team Champions in singles competition. David Hart Smith will face The Miz who will no doubt be in a foul mood after losing the United States Championship this past Monday and Tyson Kidd will have the unenviable task of taking on the Big Show who pinned the WWE Champion on RAW. However, if the Hart Dynasty win both matches it has been agreed they will get a title match at Extreme Rules. Can The Hart Dynasty beat ShowMiz twice in one night?

Also, in what should be an exciting match the Cruiserweight Champion Evan Bourne teams with Mickie James to take on Gregory Helms and DIVA’s Champion Michelle McCool and we will see CM Punk face Shelton Benjamin after Benjamin embarrassed Luke Gallows on Superstars this week, will the Straight Edge Society regain order?

Tune in to Friday Night SmackDown to find out!

Big Show vs. Tyson Kidd
