IndyPuro NJPW crowning new champions / possible spoilers

For those who may not follow, NJPW has crowned new tag team champions, junior tag team championships and a new intercontinental champion within one show. Which is in its sum pretty rare for New Japan. If you look at televised/PPV NJPW shows from a stochastic standpoint, the number of title changes is usually more often 0 than 1

    The new champions:
    - Tag Team Champions: TenKoji a.k.a. Tenzan and Kojima (won the vacant title against Iizuka/Yano)
    - Jr. Tag Team Champions: Rocky Romero and Alex Kozlov (won the title from Jushin Thunder Liger/Tiger Mask IV)
    - Intercontinental Champion: Shinsuke Nakamura (won the title from Hirooki Goto)

Apart from that, Low-Ki as the Jr. Heavyweight Champion lost to KUSHIDA in a non-title bout within 7 minutes, leading to Tanahashi being the only title holder that evening who defended successfully against Masato Tanaka. More bouts featured Okada, the former champion, losing in a tag team bout alongside his CHAOS stablemate Takahashi against Karl Anderson and Tetsuya Naito and an 8-man elimination tag team match with Vance Archer of all people being the only survivor.

Don't get why they did the title switch between TenKoji and Iizuka/Yano in the first place. Iizuka and Yano are terrible. But the tag belts mean pretty much nothing these days, it's just filler. Ditto for the Jr belts, Kozlov is only there because Richards fell out of favour with them.

Nakamura over Goto hopefully signals Goto finally winning the big one this year. If not, he's pretty much dead. There's only so many years and failed oppotunities a guy can have.

Tanaka is a token filler defence. Really the whole card looks boring outside maybe Nak vs Goto.

To Kozlov's credit though, he made pretty much everyone he faced at the Super Jr. tourney look really good with his selling. Perhaps that's a way of them giving back for his efforts there. Several others like PAC basically did the indy-typical "I don't sell" shit.

I look at the Nakamura/Goto encounter two-sided: On one side, it is a positive that Goto finally got to wear a championship which he has deserved for so long, but I feel like Nakamura has now been degraded to the level of people like Goto, Tanaka or MVP, all of whom are nowhere near Nakamura's level. At least, I finally get to see more Nakamura 1on1 matches in the future again. For the last few months, he was basically wasted in multimen matches.

Nakamura isn't hurt by it at all, it's just something for him to do some they don't run him vs Tanahashi for the billionth time.
