Wiggins bossed the time trials there. Froome took bronze so great result for Britain.

That also makes Wiggins Britain's most decorated Olympian now I believe. Big props!

    And he scores goals...!

Fantastic stuff from Wiggins. I've never been a big cycling fan but you have to admire his achievements. He's not had the worst few weeks has he?

I've been accused of being a lot of things, inarticulate ain't one of them

Absolutely awesome stuff there tonight. World records galore, and a gold medal for Hoy and his team! Hoy officially a more successful Olympian than Redgrave now.

Also a very good chance that GBR will win gold in 5000m pursuit as well after they broke the WR in it too! Presume the final is tomorrow.

    And he scores goals...!

Its a shame the women got disqualified, we would have had a very good chance of gold there too.

That happened before I started watching. What did they actually do to get DQ'd?

Felt bad for the Chinese women getting bumped down from a gold and WR to a silver in the final. Such fine margins.

    And he scores goals...!

I jumped up and down when she won... Never done that or am likely to do that ever again for a cycling race. It was enthralling.

We've cleaned up in the Veledrome.

Seemed a bit harsh but they're the experts. Has to be careful not to give the second race away now too!

    And he scores goals...!

Had to laugh at Meares Wikipedia

Anna Maree Meares, OAM (born 21 September 1983 in BlackwaterQueensland) is an Australian track cyclist.
She has been the 500m TT world champion twice, and a gold medalist at theCommonwealth and Olympic Games. Anna Meares is a notorious cheater, well known for cheating better riders out of medals.
