That preview just reminded me of how good the Chelsea vs Napoli series was.

    Come on you Chelsea.

Man, Bayern have been beast at home in the Champions League. I doubt Chelsea will win but I'll be rooting for them because I like RDM. More than anything, I just want a load of drama but since its a final, I doubt we'll see much.

I'll go with a comfortable Bayern win. 2-0, probably.

The hopeless romantic in me fancies Chelski to win 2-1.

Wouldn't mind if any of Drogba, Torres or Fat Frank scored the winner!

    And he scores goals...!

Bayern will win, injuries and suspensions will put pay to that. No Ramires, No Rings (or trophies. w/e).

Shame I just blasted my vcash on Chelsea

Bayern, their suspended players isnt as hard to replace (Badstuber, Gustavo and Alaba) as Chelsea's is (Terry, Ramires, Merieles and Ivanovic) and I suspect they will be revved up to play their best after that disastrous 5-2 loss to Dortmund.

Also, its their own home ground. If you cant get up in front of your fans, well 60% of them at least, 30% chelsea fans and 10% important people (sponsors, yada yada) Where the fuck can you?

Finally, being the tottenham fan I am, I want spurs to play Champions leauge not europa.

Re: Champions League Final 2012 Discussion

Bayerns suspensions are all defensive though so it does even it out abit

Chelsea lost Terry & Ivanovic but I as a Chelsea fan believe Cahill & Luiz are more than capable despite their fitness concerns

Ramires is the big miss and I would have had less faith in Kalou or Torres wide if Bayern werent three men down in the same area

Barring Lahm and obviously Neuer between the sticks, Bayerns first choice defense is suspect and he expected backline is

    Lahm - Boateng - Tymoschuk - Contento

Now is is me or is that a very getatable left side. Drogba might have a field day against Tymoschuk, a 34 year old defensive midfielder and Boateng, a mediocre player who goes missing at vital times during games

And Contento is only 22 so the big stage may get the better of them

Plus with Schweinsteiger Kroos & Muller playing the midfield 3 then who is covering the defence as all three are attack minded players, and thats a place for Juan Mata in the hole to exploit all the space

Now either Bayerns abundance in attack will overwhelm Chelsea or Drogba will break the glass door down easily

My prediction 2-1 Chelsea, Drogba @ the double

    Chelsea

Even though Bayern have the advantage I honestly think Chelsea will take it. Mainly because there run really reminds me of ours in 2005. Just about got out of the group stages, People doubted them against Napoli & Barca & now Bayern. Just part of me thinks they could do it.

    Answer - Schweinsteiger.

To be honest, I agree that that is a very getable win. Personally, I'd shift Mata to play right up against Contento given his fondness for drifting upfield. Contento is a good player, but positionally? Not good enough.

I think the key to this game is Phillip Lahm, who is in the top 3 in the world for his position. Lahm is the crossing aspect to Ribery/Robbens direct dribbling play. If Chelsea find some way of keeping his crossing under wraps for at least the first half, thats a helluva threat nullified, especially with Gomez in the middle.

Not to mention the fact that the crowd will get angsty if its stilla draw after 70 minutes, and Gomez and Robben have been known to throw their toys out the pram more than once.

If RDM's sensible, he'll set up for the draw and then push on very late in the match.

Anybody who wants Chelsea to win tomorrow isn't a real football fan.

How a United fan could support Chelsea in a game like that I have no idea. Sickening.

    Re: VIP Random Discussion Thread

Sickening is a bit extreme don't you think Tom lol.

I'm not too bothered either way tbh. I'd like to see players like Drogba, Torres and even Lampard to certain degree win a Champions League. Plus I really like RDM and how he's acted during his tenure. And finally I really dislike Munich, always have.

Only problem is I like Spurs a lot, so would be disappointed to see them lose out on CL football.

    And he scores goals...!

    Re: VIP Random Discussion Thread

To be fair they are a horrible club who have achieved success through very dubious means, and to want to see players like Cole and Terry with Champions League winners medals is perverse. Drogba is a bellend too. Don't really mind Lampard but he plays for a crap club with crap fans.

To be fair, Drogba is only a dick on the pitch. Off the pitch, he's one of the most respectable players around.

He's a good guy off the pitch with this charity work etc no doubt, but that's like saying Barton is a decent guy off the pitch (which he is NOW.. for the most part). He's still a wanker on it.

Cba to get into the whole Money argument because Money = Success whatever way you wanna put it. Plus most clubs have their dicks anyway. Still wouldn't call supporting them "sickening"

    Re: VIP Random Discussion Thread

Anyone who just says money = success and thinks it's that simple is an idiot. Either that or an ABU who is just happy that a team who isn't United is winning trophies and doesn't want to think about the ethics of it all. I'm going to group CGS into the latter category because he's not an idiot who wouldn't see the difference between spending the money you earn as a club and spending a Sheikh billionaire's money while making enourmous losses every season.

I don't think Barton is a good guy off the bitch. He's putting on an act which is failing imo. Anyone questions him and he's off on one like a moron as usual.

Drogba is just a top guy away from the field. Also the fact Chelski could win it, and JT (hopefully) wouldn't lift it would be amusing to me also as I'm not a fan of his obviously.

    And he scores goals...!

If nothing else, it would be too harsh on Spurs for Chelsea to win it.

And that's even if Chelsea weren't a horrible club.

Yep Tommy's right, we should all support the German's tomorrow

I don't see anything wrong in wanting my former manager to win the biggest prize in club football.

Also it would be harsher on Chelsea to win this, and not be able to defend their title.
