Not really fan of either one but I'll go with John Cena based on In ring Accomplishments.

As much as I love Henry, he hasn't done much in 2012 and Cena has had some nice matches. So Cena

I am a huge Henry fan lately and even when not being pushed heavily he's still a good talent. His match with CM Punk on Raw (the no DQ one) was excellent.

But since the Kane feud, Cena has been thoroughly enjoyable. His match with the Rock was very good and the beating from Lesnar was even better. So I'm going with Cena for this one.

This was actually a really tough choice.

Henry is fantastic, but I went with Cena just because he's had more stand out matches IMO. Henry's best matches this year are the ones that he had with Punk last month.

His series with Punk were all good/great matches. He's going to lose this match, but I love Mark Henry and I'm voting for him just for the hell of it.

I gotta go with the face of the WWE here. While I didn't really enjoy his feud with The Rock, he has still been a part of some of the best moments on RAW throughout 2012.

Despite the epic Lesnar MOTY I went with Henry. Much more consistant and far more entertaining as the whole package.

I found this a pretty close call as well, but the Henry/Punk series swung it for me.

    And he scores goals...!

Re: Best Wrestler in North America Round 2: Mark Henry vs John Cena

Had this poll taken place say late 2011, I think Mark would of walked this when he was the only reason to watch Smackdown and Cena was just stuck in the same WWE title loop with Punk and Del Rio.

First half of 2012, it's a tighter race.

John Cena had a god awful 2 months at the start of the year with the rise against hate storyline which produced two dull ppv matches and only Eve came out of the angle looking better. But the Rock/Cena feud was a huge deal, the match was good (overshadowed by HIAC and Jericho/Punk) and the short Lesnar feud was incredible.

Henry played his part in helping Daniel Bryan break through to the main event, had to miss the Elimination Chamber through injury, but came back to help Team Johnny at Wrestlemania and put on a great series with Punk on Raw. Unlike Cena who can be a bit hit and miss with his promos, Henry's always been entertaining on the mic since he got his big push last year. The cons? he's not as big of a deal as he was in the second half of 2011, and is lacking in direction at the moment.

It comes down to booking for me, had Mark Henry received bigger feuds and more chances to shine on ppv, I think he'd have a better chance of beating Cena. This tournament isn't about who's had the bigger ppv matches or who's higher up the card, it's about working with the hand you've been dealt, and how entertaining you've been in the matches you've been put into.

Henry's not hit the lows of Kane feud, neither has he hit the heights of a Rock/Lesnar feud, he's remained pretty much on the level. He's the more consistent of the two, so he gets my vote.

btw, this would make a great pay-per-view match.

    Hey Ed, tl;dr

Cena for me. Lesnar stuff has been epic, I've still never forgiven the WWE for taking the title off Henry the way they did, completely out of the blue.

Cena cna also thank his lucky stars this vote is before the debacle that will no doubt be Sundays match

After much thought and consideration I finally decided to go with Cena. And then I accidentally voted Henry.

Doesn't look like it'll matter though.

What was so wrong about how they had Henry drop the title? it set up Daniel Bryan becoming World Champion and having to fend off both Henry and Show in January, that month made Daniel Bryan a main eventer. Looking back, my problem isn't how they took the title off Henry, it's how irrelevant he became once he slipped down the pecking order.
