Best Wrestler in North America: Pre-Tournament Elimination

Thanks for all the nominations for the Best Wrestler in North America tournament.

There are currently 65 guys with at least two nominations. Obviously this is a 64 wrestler tournament so one of these guys with 2 votes is going to have to go.

In the poll is every wrestler who received 2 nominations. What I want you to do is vote for the guy you DON'T want to see in the tournament (guarantee somebody gets this wrong and wants to change their vote. ).

After we have a clear result I will start posting the first round threads, with the tournament split into two halves, with the top seeds (based on nominations) in one half so they avoid each other where possible.

Would have voted for Angle, but the recent Hardy match was atleast better than I expected. HHH probably shouldn't be in this on the merit of one match as a semi-active guy..... but Kaz does stick out as being the worst guy there.

I can't see an argument for Kaz being a better pro wrestler than ANYONE on that list.

What is with the Otunga hate? The guy is pretty funny and easily the most improved wrestler since the start of the year.

Probably a bunch of people being worked by a heel doing his job.

Either that or they've not really been watching and just remember him being sucky on NXT.

Agreed. It's humorless people who only care about WORKRATE~! but even then, he's probably better than Kaz. Not as offensive.

or God forbid, someone thinks Otunga still sucks in the ring. Lordy o mercy, that can't ever happen. Stupid marks getting worked/not watching Otunga since his NXT days! *Shakes fist angrily*

Re: Best Wrestler in North America: Pre-Tournament Elimination

I'm just saying the guy has clearly improved tons and isn't the worst wrestler on the list, but for some first impressions will always count against a guy. People see him as a comedy guy and therefore assume he must be bad.

Or people still think he's bad.

Its down to opinion, your opinion is that Kaz is worse(I thought you had give up watching TNA) other people think Otunga is worse.

Its nothing to with being worked.

Responding to a differing opinion by claiming they're just being worked has become a tired cliché around here. It's like the idea that someone could hold an informed opinion that is the opposite to yours is not worth considering, that there must be some nefarious truth behind it, like they've been worked or they're humourless workrate marks or something equally absurd and borderline paranoid.

Charisma/Character > workrate with zero psychology imo.

Regardless of whether you hate Kaz, he at least knows the basic in-ring skills required to be a wrestler. I agree that charisma and character are important, but if you can't even pin someone properly I could care less about it.

I think Kaz is well deserving of a spot in the top 64. Kaz is very solid in-ring imo.
