Just really hope we get a decent replacement for him. Even though the chance of it happen is virtually non existent we may as well throw some of they money at Barca and try get Pedro. Seems like they would be happy to accept around £20-25m for him.

The Sterling deal is a great deal for all involved. Sterling gets to develop with Aguero and Silva (what a trio that will be) and doesn't have to be burdened with everything like he was at Liverpool last year. Liverpool get shit loads of money, and City get the best English prospect since Rooney.

Remember Damien Duff? He's just signed for Shamrock Rovers and is donating his pay to charity

    Re: Transfer Talk Thread

Man Utd are looking good for this season. They've done a great job in rebuilding and made quality signings. Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin will bolster their midfield. Didn't want to see them go there though. If they get another CB and a striker then they will be title contenders. LVG will address these positions so hopefully now Arsenal respond to this and get an upgrade on DM & attack. If we don't then we'll be battling Liverpool for the 4th spot.

Van Persie, even though I hate him(then again no Arsenal fan likes him lol), he was a great player for us. When he moved to Man Utd he was good in his first season but then had injury hit seasons. He should have gone to the Bundesliga, Serie A or La Liga.

Liverpool have got a fantastic deal, Selling Sterling for such a ridiculous overpriced fee. I like Sterling, hopefully he lives up to his huge price tag and becomes successful at Man City. Glad he went there instead of Chelsea or Man Utd. Man City now likely to splash the cash now on De Bruyne.

Carl Jenkinson is back at West Ham on loan again for a second season. He's fell down the pecking order at Arsenal, so he can continue his development with the Hammers. Now hopefully we get rid of Sanogo but not just on loan, permanently sell him.

Very underused and underrated. That'll be a decent little deal for WBA Ed.

Well I don't think Foster is going to be fit until November, so we need cover. When January arrives someone will have to leave I imagine.

Yeah Myhill is definitely better in my opinion. Filled in for Foster well at the end of last season.

That seems like a lot of money for a club like WBA, when you have a very good first choice keeper in Foster (he won't be injured forever), and in Myhill you have what appears to be a reasonable backup.

This is a very Clasie signing... sorry couldn't help it.

Oh and Mikk has been tipping this for about a week but looks like it's happening...

He will then join the Boro squad at their Marbella training camp.

Downing, capped 35 times by England, left the Riverside for Aston Villa in July 2009, before moving to Liverpool.

He has been with West Ham since 2013 and made 37 Premier League appearances for the Hammers in 2014-15, with his early-season performances earning him an England recall November.

Since making his professional debut for the Teessiders in May 2002, he has since made 493 appearances in all competitions, scoring 50 goals.

Middlesbrough were beaten by Norwich City in the Championship play-off final at Wembley in May.

He'll be far too good for that league and disappointed he didn't want to rejoin us but think we'll have a better deal for Lens when thats all said and done

Outstanding signing and probably wouldn't have happened if Advocaat wasn't in charge, makes up for the shambles of the Lombaerts deal not going through

For a fraction of the price they got for Schneiderlin at £8.5M.

It's a fantastic deal for Southampton.
