    Re: Currently Watching - Redux

Quantum of Solace. It's a weird movie to me in a few ways. I remember loving it the first time I saw it and feeling the same on my first re-watch. On the third go around I hated it and started thinking it was one of the worst Bond movies ever. Now I've decided it's not that bad but it's also not great. I think it's in the A View to a Kill and Man with the Golden Gun category, good enough and fun but not great.

I've just got Skyfall and Spectre left on my re-watch of the franchise and right now Die Another Day is comfortably in last place as the dirt worst Bond movie ever. I remember Spectre being pretty bad though so maybe it can challenge for that title.

OHMSS has always been my fave (and the one I consider the best) but it’s aged really well and is easily still worth a watch or two. Thunderball has become even better as well.

In terms of reassessing, I think Diamonds are Forever is a lot more entertaining than I used to and Moonraker is fantastic.

I don't get the hate for Spectre, i thought it was pretty good and one of only a few Bond films i've own along with The Man With The Golden Gun and Skyfall.

Well, since I watched it yesterday I'll give you a few reasons. For starters, it's way too talky for a Bond film and way too preachy as well. I felt one of the best lines was Bond telling Blofeld to torture him since anything was better than listening to him talk as I felt the exact same way. Waltz was horribly misused and didn't feel organic in the role at all, the girl, while a good actress, got virtually nothing to work with. It was also way too long, a problem I also had with Skyfall on re-watch.

But the biggest issue I had with it, and one that doesn't inspire much confidence in the next film, is that Craig genuinely seemed completely disinterested in playing the role. There wasn't a moment in that movie where I felt like he was "into" his performance and was really just going through the motions. It's sad that he's getting some ridiculous amount of money for the next one because if he turns in a performance like that it'll be equivalent to highway robbery. Then again, Craig's got them by the balls, as evidenced by the recent push back to next year for filming due to him taking time off for his wife's pregnancy. I wonder how much money Sony has wasted on the movie already just to cease production for him?

So as some of you know I'm doing a Mighty Morphin Season 1 Walkthrough and I decided to rewatch Zyuranger as I own the Box Set from the Show which is what the show is based on. It's pretty crazy, Episode 1 Rita aka Bandora wants to see kids cry and their are two kids stuck in a Space Shuttle and instead of me worrying about the kids, I wonder why in the fuck was those two kids in the Shuttle during the beginning of the Episode when the Spacemen went into Space. What was it take your kid into Space day da fuck Japan

I've been currently re-watching a list of my favorite movies from the 1980s. This past month I have watched Twins, Terminator, Predator, and Robocop. My oldest, loves watching Robocop, so we have watched that one a few more times. I may go back and watch some of the Friday the 13th Franchise, Halloween, and Nightmare on Elm Street Movies.

    Re: Currently Watching - Redux

So what is everyone watching TV Show wise these days people? Into the Badlands just had their Season Finale which might of been my favorite Season of the three so far with the fighting and storytelling being the best and I dug the cliffhanger. Preacher Season 3 started last night still need to see the first Episode from the Season, and Shades of Blue Season 3 with Jennifer Lopez which is a very underrated Show in my opinion is still doing their thing. Oh of course my Sentai watching Lupiranger vs Patoranger which has two groups of Power Rangers where one side are Thieves and the other group are Cops. The reasoning for the set of Rangers who are Thieves has been done so well and to me I would of done thing as them with that happened to them.

I might try to start watching Westworld sometime this week pray for me guys.

Watching the Kamau Bell Netflix comedy special. It's seriously funny stuff.

This is my first time watching him, but I love his style and I love his jokes.

He's very liberal though and most of jokes center around black Americans and the current state of the country. One of my favorite jokes so far was him talking about Doc McStuffins, and how his daughter thought all doctors were black women after watching that. So when her doctor walked in and it was a white guy she freaked.

Yeah I just finished the first two Episodes in the Season and I've enjoyed it more than the first Season first two Episodes. I love the Music and when you can put Mobb Deep for Luke Cage's appearance that's always going to get me fucking interested. Also Bushmaster has a intimidating presence like Cage does and I can't wait to see these two throw hands versus each other.

Miami Vice Season 3 Episode 19 - Red Tape.

The story is pretty good but it’s made more interesting by the fact that the guest stars are Viggo Mortensen, Lou Diamond Phillips and Annette Bening. That’s a pretty solid group of talent for a single episode.
