    Halloween (2018)

    Release date: October 19, 2018
Studio: Universal Pictures, Blumhouse Productions, Miramax
    Director: David Gordon Green
    MPAA Rating: N/A
Screenwriters: Danny McBride, David Gordon Green
Starring: Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak
    Genre: Thriller, Horror, Suspense

Plot Summary:[/B] Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago. Greer would play Karen Strode, the daughter of Curtis’ character.

Master of horror John Carpenter will executive produce and serve as creative consultant on this film, joining forces with cinema’s current leading producer of horror, Jason Blum ("Get Out," "Split," "The Purge," "Paranormal Activity"). Inspired by Carpenter’s classic, filmmakers David Gordon Green and Danny McBride crafted a story that carves a new path from the events in the landmark 1978 film, and Green also directs.

    Re: Halloween III (2012)

I AM FUCKING ECSTATIC! That Rob Zombie is finally out of the picture and they are moving forward with Farmer & Lussier. I've been waiting too long to hear they would pick those two up to do the next Halloween. Hopefully they can right the ship that Zombie damn near sank.

Wow, I'm excited. I remember reading the project was stalled.

    Re: Halloween III (2012)

I'm a little concerned here because Lussier is apparently directing this and the Hellraiser remake and both are due out in 2012. I hope he devotes enough time to both. Also, I'm not a huge fan of the 3D gimmick which of course he has been working with for the past few years. My initial thoughts are that it will still be WAY better than Zombie's pathetic Halloween II. In fact, Zombie's sequel sucked so bad I won't even review it in my bad movie reviews because there's nothing redeeming about it at all.

Did new news come out? There's been talk of a Halloween 3 since 2009, but last I heard it was postponed without a scheduled filming date.

If this has anything to do with Season Of The Witch, I think I'll be the only person who will be stoked haha.

lol Well since Scout-Taylor Compton is gonna be in it, I don't think it'll have anything to do with Season of the Witch.

Yeah, I would imagine It's just gonna be a third installment based on the Zombie era characters. Good enough, I'll still watch it.

I thought she did very good in the first RZ Halloween. I don't mind her in II since I actually liked that film (don't hate. I liked the brutality of it).

Oh and she's very purrty! lol

Halloween 3 was awesome. However, after RZ's Halloween 2, I imagine even the hardcore haters of Halloween 3 would love to see it again.

    ...then again.

Add me to that list BenWah, Season of the Witch is one of my favourite horror movies of all time. I've FINALLY met someone else who likes it...yes!

EDIT: Make that two people thanks to Jim. Hey, we could almost start a Season of the Witch fan club!

I don't find her purity at all. On top of that, I wanted to actually step through the screen in H2 and punch her in her fucking face.

What I want to see right now is a good Halloween film again but if it's a choice between Rob Zombie's H3 or a remake of Season of the Witch, I'll take Season. I NEVER want to see another Rob Zombie Halloween.

    Hell yeah, this rules.
I love the idea behind the movie, and the initial concept that John Carpenter had even though it never panned out.

I would have loved to see it become an anthology series. Not that I dislike Michael Myers, but H2 ended his story nicely. I can only imagine what other types of tales we could have gotten had Halloween III been a success.

    Re: Halloween III (2012)

Seems like a must see for any horro film fan.
Just saw Scream 4 and that blew my mind.

I hope Halloween III could be saved.
Rob Zombie had made this series into a softcore porn lol.
I hope with the new directors it has much more of a real background story,.

Like somehow Michael comes back to life just somehow.
This would probably be the last film in the series I think.

Doubt it. Michael, Jason and Freddy are the new timeless horrors similar to the Universal Monsters. They may stay dormant for years, but they're always be brought back up.

    Re: Halloween III (2012)

    so wait..

    Spoiler:

Danielle Harris was killed in the second movie, right? My memory is a bit hazy on that. I hated the sequel and even thought about walking out of the theater. I'd love to see her return.. love that woman

Can't say I'm thrilled about this continuity continuing.
