    Who else misses Too Cool?

Granted, they were obviously meant to be just a fun team. But nobody can say that they weren't MEGA over. Even if it was a tad bit of a rip off of The Public Enemy. Thoughts?

I did like them, Grand Master Sexy, Scotty 2 Hotty and then Rikishi. There gimmick was fun, and some of there matches were pretty good. I believe they were Tag Champs at one point somewhere between 03-05?

Yeah they might have been somewhere around there. I don't know, I mean most people (especially in the IWC) are going to hate on them because they aren't some of the "traditional" style tag teams. But I thought they were pretty damn entertaining, and I think it was one of the few cases where comedy and wacky actually worked. I remember back in like 2000 or so, I used to try and do the worm on the floor hahahahah

This may be a bit of a visceral reaction, but G-d no, I hated those jokers. They were on every week, eating up time that could have been better used. If you ever watch a bunch of shows back to back especially, they really get annoying as fuck.

The dance thing they had at the 2000 Royal Rumble is still one of my favorite Rumble moments. "We've seen it all. So, We're gonna dance a little while." I really like the pop when Scotty's music comes on.

I remember the first time Rikishi danced with them... the pop they got for dancing with a fat samoan was better than 99% of the crowd pops main events get now a days. They were good, and Brian Christopher is actually an incredibly good technical wrestler.. I think I miss the New Age Outlaws more though... OOOooh You didn't KNOW!? Your ass betta CAAAAAAALL SOMEBODY!!!!

Re: Who else misses Too Cool?

Scotty's music always did garner pretty good reactions didn't it?

Yeah, their little bits were pretty entertaining, but I'm shocked as hell they even lasted more than a couple of months and that Scotty held a job in WWE for several years afterwards. Perhaps the most amazing thing about that whole stable.

But with no doubt I prefer the New Age Outlaws, always have been and always will be one of my favorite tag teams of all time!

Yeah, I miss most to all the tag teams of that era. The Dudley Boyz, Edge & Christian, The Hardy Boyz, Too Cool, The Rock N Sock Connection, Jarrett and Owen, The Acolytes (or even APA). But The New Age Outlaws were by far my favorite though. It was a little random because I was just watching some old videos on youtube, and it made me miss them.

Yeah they were champs around that time (Scotty and Rikishi).

I miss them. I loved them as a team.

That half the reason for my current avy/sig combo.

I loved Too Cool as a younger man. When Dean Malenko beat Scotty for the Lightheavyweight Title I raged for hours. I loved the Tag Division back then.

Re: Who else misses Too Cool?

As I went to wiki up when and if Scotty won belts I found a top Google search for him his "Scotty 2 Hotty dead"

Anyway here are each member's accomplishments
    Scotty 2 Hotty:
1 time WWF Light Heavyweight Championship
1 time WWF Tag Team Champion (with Grandmaster Sexay)
1 time WWE Tag Team Champion (with Rikishi)

    Rikishi:
    1 time WWF Intercontinental Champion
2 time WWE World Tag Team Champion (1 with Samu and 1 with Rico)
1 time WWE Tag Team Champion (with Scotty 2 Hotty)

    Grandmaster Sexay:
1 time WWF Tag Team Champion (with Scotty 2 Hotty)

Seems like Grandmaster got very little titles and its slightly shocking since his dad is The King Jerry. Also I am slightly shocked Rikishi got the I.C.

He was only ever going to get the tag team belt, I believe, CaptainC, and since there were many better teams, one reign was enough. You have to figure in that he got released not too long after S2H got injured.

Didn't Sexay get released for being an absolutely nutter on the road. I heard all sorts of stories about drugs and alcohol binges, and attitude problems with him.

Yeah, I heard he was released for drug problems as well. He also apparently got re-contracted, but dumped again for not turning up to a show.

I don't know why on earth people think a comedy stable should have gotten more credibility and titles than they were given.

Brian Christopher was god awful. Rikishi was fun, but always oddly booked, and Scotty is a pretty good worker and good as a push over device, but I don't miss them.

Re: Who else misses Too Cool?

Haha I never said they should have been given a bigger push. I was just saying that I missed them hahaha.

I'll agree that both of those guys were destined to peak as a tag team. I think they could have done more with Rikishi as a main event or at least upper mid card singles wrestler, had they given him a better story to get into that scene other than "I'M A BAD MAN WHO RAN OVER STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN, JUST SO TRIPLE H COULD STEAL ALL MY HEAT WITHIN A MONTH!" He was actually pretty damn athletic for his size.

I do miss Too Cool though. They were entertaining, whether they were a "credible" tag team/stable or not. I don't think they were ever set up to be. The only reason they even got their one tag team run (Scotty and Lawler) is because they were mega over and the fans were begging for it to happen just once.
