    Yeah really cool, man.

I guessed as much that it would be. Same with the Kinect for Xbox.

Guys, I've been playing Quake II for the second straight day. It's disappointing that there are very less servers, but the action in some of the remaining servers remains intact. It's been a very good nostalgic trip reliving the joy and also pain of the multiplayer FPS.

    Re: Currently Playing

Been playing Pokemon Ultra Sun lately.

Completed the Alolan Pokedex ages ago so concentrated on the National Pokedex, which I have finished including all Mythical Pokemon (except a Zeraora which I'm still trying to get a hold of since its only been released in Japan so far). So now I'm working on completing my Living Dex (which is one of every pokemon and form). It's taking forever, especially since I had to trade away a few legendaries for other version exclusive legendaries, so I'll have to go back and start up another game.

Think this might take a few months to finish!

Now that I've beaten Shao Kahn, I really don't know what to do with my life.

I'm thinking about trying Donkey Kong Country again.

I generally really suck at Donkey Kong. I foresee myself getting very angry today.

    Re: Currently Playing

So, after taking a brief break from Cuphead due to how complete and utter shite I am at it, I decided to give one of the other games on my list a whirl. So over the past few days I played the shit out of The Sexy Brutale, even 100%'d it, because I was that into it.

The basic premise: You - a priest named Lafcadio Boone - wake up in a glamorous casino mansion known as The Sexy Brutale (hey, title drop!). Every year, the mysterious owner of the mansion throws an elaborate masquerade ball for a select few. However, this time, something is terribly, terribly wrong, as over the course of twelve hours the masked mansion staff systematically and brutally murder all the guests, before time is rewounded back to the start of the day to repeat the events again, with everyone none-the-wiser of the groundhog day time loop they're trapped in.

Except for you. Given the power to intervene by a strange skinless woman - who gives you this power by wiping her hand on your face and leaving a bloody handprint that won't wash off, ick - you have the chance to save the guests from their horrible fate. However, you can't intervene directly. You can't run up to a murderous staff member, knock the shotgun out of his hands, and beat the shit out of him. No, you can only intervene indirectly, with neither staff nor victims aware of your actions. Sometimes it's as simple as switching a bullet for a blank cartridge. Other times, it is not.

Can you save all the guests and solve the mystery of The Sexy Brutale?

The spoiler-free review: It's a very enjoyable game. The mechanics are simple, user-friendly, and very well-designed. It's not overtly complex - really you can figure out the solution to prevent any murder within three, four loops tops - but the satisfaction of successfully saving someone after arriving on the situation less then fifteen minutes ago is tremendous. The soundtrack helps immensely, rousing to triumphant success with a saving of a life, and brimming with despair when someone dies - and you will absolutely recognise as the sound cues of someone dying far from your grasp when you're on the other side of the mansion dealing with a different problem entirely. A gunshot here, shattering glass there, the electricity flickering for the briefest of moments, all hints that someone somewhere has slipped through your grasp and died a horrible death, over and over again as the time loop resets, worked wonderfully into the snazzy jazzy soundtrack. Seriously it's a damn good soundtrack.

But y'all know me, game mechanics and soundtrack is all well and good, but my bread and butter is the story, so aside from the opening blurb, what's it like? It's a fantastic story, tragic at times, bittersweet at times, and in the rarest of circumstances, hopeful. I don't think I can get into most of the story without delving into spoiler territory to be honest, so you'll have to take my word for it. I do want to really discuss the entire narrative and how well the foreshadowing work does but I'll save that for another time if someone stumbles across this post and decided to give it a try.

Buy it on steam. Supposedly the switch port is horribly optimised so maybe avoid that? But yeah play it on steam so I can parrot the story to someone.

    Re: Currently Playing

Been playing Madden all week. Doing a franchise with the Giants and Steelers.

I made a custom draft for 2019 prospects. All 7 rounds have real players. Accurate names, schools, sizes, and likeness. About half have the right Jersey numbers and ages.

I based the big name player ratings off scouting reports, and the rankings based off websites like Walter Football and Drafttex.

If you're on PS4 I'd recommend it. A lot of the other ones I've seen stop at the first round or they stop at around 120 players. Mine goes to everyone projected to be drafted, a full 7 rounds. I spent all week on it and it tool absolutely forever.

So if you're on PS, look up my username Das897 or I also named it 20197rounds.

Currently playing Until Dawn Rush of Blood on the VR. Basically you're in a roller coaster but it's a horror game where you've got to shoot shit. Spiders are my absolute weakness and just had to play a level with a giant spider as the 'boss' so that wasn't a lot of fun.

The game cover says there is 7 levels and I just finished level 5 so shouldn't have to much longer to go. I'd predict being finished in another 30 mins or so worth of gameplay.

    Re: Currently Playing

Been playing Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2014 on 360. Had to dust the 360 off and fire it up. Been a while and I have to say I'm surprised at how smooth the dashboard is and how non-awful the game is playing. I think it's because I'm used to my beefy PC now but I thought it was going to be like pulling teeth. Outside of longer loading times the game looks decent and plays fine.

The putting is awful though. There's no 3-click setting so you have to use the analog swing for putts and it's atrocious. The power meter makes no sense. On closer shots the sweet spot doesn't really seem to scale. I don't see the point in aiming with power factored in and then having to slap the stick really fast on shorter putts. When I'm missing 10 footers but draining 30 footers something is amiss.

I picked this up because it had all 4 Majors in for the first and only time. It really does remind me of 2005 which is one of my favorite games of all time. It's the simulation version of it anyway. With the way unlockables are set up and the Legend mode it feels very familiar. Almost makes me regret buy an OG and a copy of 2005. I'm going to sink further into 14 before I even hook up the other console.

Heading into the last round of my first tournament on the Web.com Tour. Started off good in the first round by birdieing(?) two of the first three holes. Then I ended up +6 for the round. Battled back in the second round to get to +2 and made the cut which was +7. Put up a really nice third and now I'm in 9th heading into the final day. Have a decent shot of winning.

Played the Batman: Arkham VR over the weekend. Was pretty fun! It's on sale too so it was a bargain. Sadly like nearly all of the VR's games it's too short which is a shame. Just going back through now and collecting all the Riddler puzzles which are quite fun and testing.

    Re: Currently Playing

Been having a hankering to replay Metal Gear Solid 5. But there is no "start new save" option. Fucking weird ass Konami games. I tried to delete my previous data but that didn't do it. I think I might have to start a different Xbone profile and use that for the save. But even trying that seems to require a different email address, and will probably piss off MS.

    WHY SO FUCKING WEIRD, KONAMI?

    Re: Currently Playing

After 300 hours of in game time on Ultra Sun and Moon, plus hundreds of hours on other games for transfers, I have finally, for the first time ever, finished a Living Pokédex.

    That means:
    - At least one of all Pokémon. So instead of just having a Charizard and the other two just listed on the Pokédex, I have all three stages. Done for every evolution line.

    - All 807 Pokémon, including the 19 Mythical Pokémon (e.g Mew, Celebi, Arceus, Zeraora).

    - Almost all* alternate forms. Not just Rattata and Raticate, but their Alolan forms too. All Burmy and Wormadam forms, all Deerling and Sawsbuck, etc.

    - All 48 mega stones.

    * Unfortunately I only have one Deoxys at the moment and I don't fancy running through ORAS another 3 times again for it. I only have one Arceus, Hoopa and one Shaymin too as they're hard enough to get hold of anyway. I also don't have all the Vivillon forms because I'm not a total masochist.

I would guess across all games that's a good 1000 hours of work. Some of these like my Celebi I've had back since HGSS, and a shiny Golem I've held since Diamond.

At least thanks to Pokémon Bank I've got these guys forever.

I'm still working my way through it ever so slowly. It will take me a bit of time because I don't get enough time to play, but as my old sales coach used to tell me, persistence beats resistance lol. I just can't get enough of nostalgia at the moment.

    Still playing Madden.

I made another draft class. This one features an entire first round of fictional characters from all your favorite football movies. Any Given Sunday, Remember The Titans, The Replacements, etc.

Basically every QB from every movie is in there as well, even Flash Gordon!

If you want to try it, search my PSN Das897 or I also titled it "MovieMadness"
