Light Heavyweight Bout: Rodney Wallace vs. Stanislav Nedkov
Round 1
The two fighters punch gloves and we get underway. Nedkov gets repeated kicks in early to the ribs and trips him up. He begins hitting him in the head until Wallace begins bleeding. Referee John McCarthy tells Nedkov to get off while he checks. Wallace is fine to go on. Wallace gets a few kicks into the thigh before Nedkov gets him down again. He tries to apply a rear-naked choke but Wallace counters and gets an elbow to the face. We are off with a great first round for UFC 117

Round 2
The two fighters rejoin the action as we start round two. With only thirty seconds in to round two Nedkov has Wallace down. He locked in an armbar but Wallace didn't seem like tapping. Nedkov for some reason let him free. Wallace got up but was immediately met with a roundhouse kick to the side of the head. The referee declared that he was unable to go on and gave the fight to Nedkov via TKO

Welterweight Bout :Ben Saunders vs. Dennis Hallman
Round 1
The two fighters punch gloves as we get underway. It doesn't take long for Hallman to get in control of the action as he gets in the full mount only 1:00 in. Saunders gets out rather easily however. Both men are weary of each other and only go in for the occasional kick or punch for around 2:00 minutes. But near the 4:30 mark Hallman scores a right cross and Saunders goes down. Hallman is straight after him and hits repeated strikes to the head. Saunders surprisingly taps with only 0:09 left on the clock to give Hallman his 65th MMA win

Welterweight Bout :Johny Hendricks vs. Charlie Brenneman
Round 1
The two fighter quickly punch gloves as we get started with our third bout of the night. Hendricks is quickly in with a couple of kicks to the ribs, He goes for a right hook but Brenneman ducks and sweeps him down. Hendricks is down and Brenneman gets in the Full Mount and begins pounding. It looks like we could have our second first round submission of the night, But luckily for Hendricks he managed to get a clean hook to the nose on. Hendricks dominated the rest of the round giving him a 10-9 round win

Round Two
We get off to an explosive start to the second round as Brenneman gets a right foot straight to the shin of Hendricks, who goes down. Brenneman gets in the full mount and begins pounding again. Brenneman traps the arm and prepares to go for the Armbar but Hendricks slips out. Both men are back on there feet and we have a cautious end to round two

Round 3
It takes a couple of minutes for either fighter to really get in really get in the swing of things, But with 3:23 on the clock Hendricks gets in a stiff kick to the ribs and Brenneman goes down hard. Hendricks gets in the Full Mount and begins pounding on Charlie. Brenneman however manages to get in an elbow to the face and Hendricks gets a major gash above his right eye. He gets in three more kicks and Hendricks goes down. Brenneman capitalizes and quickly gets in a rear-naked choke. The ref quickly pulls “The Spaniard” of him and checks Hendricks out, He is KO'ed. So Brenneman has given Hendricks his first defeat in MMA!

Welterweight Bout: Dustin Hazelett vs. Rick Story
Round 1
The two fighters refuse to punch gloves and slowly pace around the Octagon. Neither men were going to get straight in and continued to pace around for two full minutes, This was until Dustin got a kick into the shin followed by a knee to the face. Story went down hard and Dustin went full out with a Half Mount. He gets in knees and elbows to the body of Story. He is down for the good part of two minutes until it seemed like Story got an eye poke in. Hazelett fell back onto his back and Story climbed on top with the Full mount and got to work with a clear right hook straight to the jaw. The ref pulled him off to check on Hazelett, He was unconscious

Light Heavyweight Bout: Thiago Silva vs. Tim Boetsch
Round 1
The two fighters punch gloves and we get underway. We have a very slow first round with both fighters only getting in a minimal amount of offense. Silva however gets in a knee with 0:21 left on the clock and goes straight in with the Half Mount. Boetsch won't allow him to get into Full Mount and keeps him off until the end of the round
Thiago Silva 30-26
Round Two
We have a much better start to round two than we did the entire first round with both fighters going in with punches and kicks. Silva scores a clean shot and Boetsch goes down. Silva quickly gets the half mount and successfully in to the full mount. TB is struggling with the barrage of shots coming down and looks like he could tap. He doesn't, That is until Silva moves in to an armbar, Boetsch taps out with 3:56 remaining in the round
