    Re: Managerial Comings & Goings

Our real problem, and it has always been our biggest problem is we never add to what we've got. We always replace good players with good players, great players with great players... but never do we add a better player for a certain position and keep the player we had there.

    Morata in , Costa out

    Bakayoko in, Matic out

I know it's a business at the end of the day but to continue succeeding you need to add to what you've got, not just replace it.

Fairly boring and predictable. I'll enjoy cause it will send certain types over the edge.

Southampton have sacked Mauricio Pellegrino. Good decision. They are on a bad run and in the relegation scrap. If he stayed on, they probably would have gone down. Whoever comes in next, I hope he keeps them up.

Why on earth would Roger's leave Celtic for Southampton at this stage of the season?

Maybe he wants to manage the English Xavi (JWP)

Completely agree, that's just the snapshot odds.

Mark Hughes is apparently a massive contender now as well. Odds-on with some bookies.

Brodge be holding out hope for the Arsenal job I'd say.

Seems like Hughes or Silva for Saints if you believe the bookies.

    And he scores goals...!

Sparky until the end of the season would make sense for Soton. Sure he doesn't have the best of records overall but he's very experienced at this level and that's something they want and need short term.

Mark Hughes is the new Southampton manager. I don’t rate him but let’s see if he can keep them up. With 8 games to go, Southampton are in real trouble as their run in is pretty bad.

The media is goin' a bit wild here in Germany right now, because it seems to be clear, that Thomas Tuchel will take over Arsenal.

As many stolen taxis as Premier League wins.

Shame we couldn't see the smug twat getting relegated but its good to see his reputation in tatters. Hope WBA stay up now but the damage is done.

A win record of 5.5%. Gotta be our worst ever manager all things considered. Glad he's gone, I wasn't going to attend another game under his charge. We've got Darren Moore in charge until the end of the season and he's a legend with us so it'll ease the toxic atmosphere at games, but they need to start thinking now about who they want for next season in the championship.

    Re: Managerial Comings & Goings

So Bayern Munich will be hiring Niko Kovac as their new manager for next season. He's been with Eintracht Frankfurt since 2016, saving them from relegation and currently has them sitting fifth. Solid hire from what he's done in Frankfurt, but its a BIG step up.

Tuchel is heading to PSG, it seems. Interesting hire. He's very good tactically, but pretty awful at the interpersonal stuff. And he really didn't like not having full control over transfers. He also disliked the idea that Dortmund were a club that cared about more than results - so he should fit right in at a soulless commercial machine like PSG lol

Weird season in the Bundesliga. Schalke, with one of the more odd manager hiring's last summer, are currently 2nd. Dortmund are having a pretty dire season, yet sit third. Bayern had a poor start, got rid of a manager faster than any season in their history, and won at a gallop.
