Oh yeah...the first episode is definately a slow moving, set up episode...but ends good, and I expect it only gets better from there.

I highly recommend you do J! Episode one is up in VIP and I believe has been sense before it aired... Lol. and if you have AMC then you can probably catch episode 2 sometime in the week sense they replay the episodes like 50 times a week.

Saw the first episode last week. Though it was interesting enough. Loved the ending, it was grabbing. I haven't watched the latest episode yet, but looking forward to it.

Re: The Walking Dead Discussion Thread

I was really amped for the first episode last week, just as excited for the one tonight. Has great gore in it for a TV show, and this week's episode featured an axe, nice. I like that people can still act hostile towards other people, even when there isn't that many left that haven't become walkers; it would drive me crazy in that situation, but it's gripping TV.

Good episode. Nice to see some great person/person interaction, and I can't wait until the lead character makes it the camp next week and see what happens with his old partner and family.

The popularity of this isn't surprising, but the fact that just after the second episode they picked up a 13 episode second season already. That is kind of awesome.

I heard this show is already breaking first season demographic records.

Can't believe I'm not watching yet.

Missing out man...allthough it is strange, becuase the 1st two episodes have been solid, almost really good...but nothing earth shattering yet.

Surprised it's breaking records, and not just a solid bonafide hit based on the 1st two episodes.

Going into the next episode, I'm wondering what happened that made Rick's family and friends leave him behind, and how his wife and partner ended up boinkin each other.....in the woods. That's the best time to have sex, in the middle of the woods, where at any time a zombie can pop up, smart.

Yeah, saw that in the preview...but honestly, I'd have left his ass too, putting them all in danger like that, lol.

Watched tonight's episode. The main character Rick re-united with his family; yeah it was a sweet moment until you remember his best friend was bangin his wife while he was gone.

Yeah, this sorta soured the show a bit for me... It's a subject with me.. just can't stand cheaters.. and something like that is soo much worse. Guy was laid up in the hospital, then fought his way through a shitload of zombies to be with a wife that was jumping his "friend's" bones.... Why didn't they take him with them? I hope she gets eaten.

    Re: The Walking Dead Discussion

I can see why she did what she did though. The guy was in a coma and they didn't know if he had survived. And well with the end of times coming, you may as well get what you can now. Now I haven't seen the new episode as I will download it later today and watch it, but I hope they aren't shooting their wad to early with some of this. I know they picked up for a second season already, I just think they reunited them to quick.

I believe the comic book is a bit more on clear on the fact that she believed him to be dead, and she took up with his friend because she wanted protection for her son and herself. It doesn't make it right, but its a bit more understandable as to her reasoning.

Now, are they going to let him find out somehow? And how is he going to handle it when he does? At least they kept it discreet and the son doesn't know, nor does it seem like anyone else knows about it.

    Re: The Walking Dead Discussion

A very interesting, and good episode.

I thought there would be a bit more emotion, and emphasis on Rick finding his wife and child alive, and the reverse of that as well.

Interesting to see the breakdown in labor too...women washing the cloths and so forth...surprised they'd put up with that, unless everyone had a specific job.

All in all, I"m not surprised that Rick decided to go back, I might have done the same...but honestly, I can't say for sure because I"m not living in a world with Zombies, lol.

Looking foward to next weeks episode.

    Re: The Walking Dead Discussion

This last episode gave me a bit more faith in the show. I liked the part at the end with Shane beating the living crap out of the one guy. I hate men that lay hands on women. Them going back and the saw twist at the end were all great stuff. After the preview of next week's episode I'm pretty hyped... Only thing I'm upset about is.. 6 episodes? Really? Is this just an experimental semi-season, and soon we'll have a second season? Or is it going to be off for a good while before we get more?
