This is getting redicilous. 5:30 again? Hoping for a better performance than against Hull along with the win. Especially with the chance of United dropping points. Two away games in four days will hopefully cost them a few points aswell.

Like Tommy said Sunday's match is gonna be interesting. Despite not liking us no doubt all Arsenal and Chelsea fans will be hoping we take this one, just so they can take a further lead in the title race. We really need this win though. Hopefully we can continue on from the win against Lille and do well against Man U as well.

United/Liverpool is obviously the biggest game of the weekend (Merthyr vs. Hednesford is a close second though!!). United really need a win to keep the pressure on Arsenal and Chelsea. Despite Chelsea having 2 away games this week, I can’t see them dropping any points, and Arsenal should beat West Ham without too much of a struggle.

There’s a few other interesting matches this weekend. It’ll be interesting to see how Ian Dowie gets on in his first match in charge at Hull. Defoes’ injury is a big blow for Spurs, so their game against Stoke will be really tight, and Sunderland/Birmingham will be tasty given the history of Bruce, and that despite not losing their last two games Sunderland still haven’t been performing too well lately. Also can the mighty Fulham do what they did to Juve and beat the Man City All Stars?

I think it may be too much to ask for Spurs and Villa both to drop points today.

I'm hoping Fulham will be a bit tired after Thursdays match and also have an eye on the semi in midweek because a trip to the cottage could be tough.

Meldrew must have had a bad Saturday after Birmingham lost, and the Merthyr game got called off.

Can't believe Villa dropped points at Wolves. They really should be picking up points like that if they want 4th place. I thought Spurs might struggle with Defoe out, and then with Pavlyachenko going off early on it was even going to be even harder for then.

Good win for Portsmouth, if they hadn't hadn't have had a 9 point deduction I would have fancied them as an outside bet to stay up. Cracking goal by O'Hara. He could be a decent player for someone next season - but I don't think he'll stay at Spurs. It's looking bad for Hull the 'football consultant' Ian Dowie has got a massive job to do.

EVEN worse, lol. I haven't seen any of that game, and I couldn't be bothered to look at the first post to see where the game was.

    Prediction for this afternoons match?

I'm now working with a Liverpool fan, so the banter has been good all week. I'm hoping for a win, and Vidic to stay on the pitch for 90mins

I'd take a draw since we have a poor record against Liverpool in the last few seasons. Lost the last 3 haven't we? But it is a game we really need to win.

I didn't see the 1-4 game last season as I was working. I don't think I even bothered watching the highlights of that game either. It was a long shift that afternoon!

lol, obviously the guy who types the teams out for the BBC website does too.

It was an okay first half. Both sides seem to have settled down after the two early goals. Maybe the goals came too early for this to be a good game? Both sides look a little cautious now.

I got a bit worried when Torres put Liverpool ahead, but United responded well. I don’t think it was a penalty, but I think the yellow card was enough of a punishment. It did seem like Carragher was covering, and would have almost certainly been in a position to block a shot. Having said that I think Torres should have been booked for unsportsmanlike conduct for scuffing the penalty spot.

EDIT: It looks like it was Agger covering not Carragher.

Yeah The half calmed down a lot after the first 10-15 Minutes. Still been an ok half but apart from the early goals not much as happened. I can see this match ending in a draw right now. Either that or someone may sneak a late goal.
