The line between Smackdown & Raw

seems to have vanished. When WWE brought back ECW< it seeems that anyone can appear on whatever show they wanted. So my question to you is: Should WWE reunite the rosters again?

I mean, you already have stars going back and forth, why not? It seem logical just to bring them together again.

But the down side would be instead of having like 5 main main eventers (per show) you will have like 13 guys in the main event. So bringing them together both has it's good and bad sides.

Whataya think? Reinstate one full roster or reinforce the line between Smackdown & Raw?

I would have them reunite them together because we want some dream fueds that are cross branded and they always put a three hour draft so that means that about most superstars are moving brands anyways, plus it will stop calling Unified WWE Tag Team titles and just WWE Tag titles.
So, put the brands back together.

ECW died and look how many awesome talents are being neglected..

Yes, let's merge the brand and kill off more good talent for the main eventers.

    Ugh no.

Its called Wrestlemania season. It happens every year, have you not been watching long enough to notice?

I say they re-draw the line, Make awesome Survivor Series matches again. I like it that way alot better than all together.

Yeah, I agree. If anything, they should properly split the shows.

Merging it would give less time to mid-card talent or would mean losing a lot of mid-card talent. Not to fussed about the brand seperation at the moment, don't think it's a problem.

    Pretty much this.

It seems like this topic still comes up every year and refuses to die. I understand it, because I still cringe sometimes when someone shows up on a different brand, but it seems like they've been doing a better job of explaining why. Taker/Michaels is self-explanatory.

Even in the cases where the explanation wasn't spoon-fed to the audience, there's still a good reason under the surface. Case in point: McIntyre on Raw. People griped about that appearance and I really don't know why. McIntyre is Vince's golden boy, and was recruited personally by Vince. Drew better bend over backwards to help him, even if that means jumping brands for one night.

These gripes had more merit a few years ago, but it seems they made the "line" much more distinct this year.

As stated before there really hasn't been THAT much cross promotion besides Taker/HBK. Plus Bats hasnt even appeared on Smackdown since he won the WWE strap which leaves both shows having their own individual championships in tact.

Watch it Post draft/backlash and you will notice that apart from the tag team champions everyone is on their original brands. Coming up to Wrestlemania wrestlers always appear on the other brands it happens every year in order to build up the PPV a bit more.

Re: The line between Smackdown & Raw

I like having RAW and Smackdown! as two different shows, as people say, it gives alot more time to midcarders.

And of course, people haven't been appearing on both shows at all lately, other than last year in the build to WrestleMania, people seem to still think that's happening a year on.

I think the line is pretty firmly drawn to be honest. You only need to watch the Chris Angel Raw vs. the last episode of Smackdown to see a real difference in the quality of the shows (and the performers). There's always a little bleeding of the brands in the run up to 'Mania, and yeah, it bothers me, but not enough for me to want them to ruin Smackdown by merging it with Raw again.

Usually the draft kicks that 'line' between the two brands back into gear.

I think they should bring them together and see if it works better, IMO.
