If Man City & Chelsea go out then the whole thing might become more intresting, otherwise my intrest in the tournament will be done when Stoke lose on Saturday.

I wonder what kind of odds you could get on Cardiff, Stoke, Bolton and Palace winning.

Re: FA Cup 5th Round Discussion

Once Cardiff get knocked out tomorrow my interest will officially end in this seasons FA Cup. I’ll obviously watch the final, but I wouldn’t care who won (as long as it wasn’t Man City).

Southampton vs. Portsmouth should be the game of the round. I was in both cities yesterday, and the game is a huge thing down on the South Coast. Posters and adverts for the game were everywhere. It should be a game filled with passion - If I were going to watch a game this weekend (which I’m not), I’d watch this one. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this one end in a draw.

I’d like to see Stoke, Spurs and Villa go far in the competition. I wouldn’t mind if either of those sides ended up winning it. It’s quite interesting to see that Spurs who’ve a great history in the competition haven’t won it since 1991.

Its good for the cup because other teams now have the chance to win it that aren't one of the big four.

Its not just a big four cup tommy.

With United, Arsenal and Liverpool already out, it's Chelsea's to lose imo.

Abysmal defending for both goals in the Stoke/Man City game, average match, but I'm looking forward to and confident about the replay.

Re: FA Cup 5th Round Discussion

I caught the first hour of Chelsea/Cardiff in the pub before going to the rugby (saw the rest this morning). Cardiff played well, just lost their concentration early on and Drogba pounced, and then again early in the second half for Ballacks goal. They'd get away with those things in the Championship, but not against one of the best teams in Europe. The 4-1 score line was harsh, but it gives the players more experience of playing at that kind of level.

Yeah, good news to have them playing in the midweek before the Cup Final.

Also ITV seem to always pick games that end in draws. Since the 3rd round every Saturdy tea time game has ended in a draw, lol.

I'll be timing Sorensen & Delap and I'm on the look out for rolling around after crunching tackles. I'll be back tomorrow with the results.

Villa through 3-1. 2 penalties in the last few mins saved Villa.

Spurs crushing Bolton 4-0. Maybe Mr Coyle will be thinking he should have stayed at Burnley. A few own goals didn't help either.
