As an aside, not expecting big things from us against the Irish tomorrow. Massive for a first game of the tournament.

Well, well, well big Georgie North with an interception try to complete the comeback and the win, scenes or what haha. World Cup year too so that'll be a big blow for France.

Massive result for the Welsh that.

Just got in from work so missed the first half, but very happy (and surprised) at that score!

It was massive indeed, however if England can hold on here it will be even bigger.

Well that's this tournament blown wide open!

Won't get cocky because we've still got to go to Wales though

Ireland losing at home is massive, especially with the run they were on at home. It's World Cup year so momentum is massive here. However knowing this England team they'll struggle against France next time out.

If it weren't for the World Cup, I'd normally call Wales/England the biggest international of the year. A bit bittersweet for me this time, but looking forward to it nonetheless.

I don't think it'll tell us too much to be honest. Wales are on an amazing run but i'd quite like them to get that defeat out of the way before the World Cup haha. With England...potentially winning the Grand Slam will give them a false sense of security heading to that World Cup and then they'll just flatter to deceive there...or that's my hope haha. Realistically though we always need to be England.

Re: General Non Football Sports Chat

If this was a non-World Cup year I’d be so frustrated by England’s performance today. I don’t want to take anything away from Wales, but that second half was a complete disaster. Biggar made a big difference, but we seemed all at sea from pretty soon after half time. We didn’t do well in the last 2 games because we kicked a lot, we did well because the kicking was well-timed and creative. In those matches, we seemed like we had a good plan and carried it out to perfection. But that second half we were all over the place.

However, in a World Cup year... a small part of me is kind of glad it happened. The last two games were great, but we aren’t perfect, and I hope this will focus the mind somewhat. If this hadn’t happened, I’d be worried we’d get complacent in the WC and get caught out. We need to learn from this.

Still, congrats to Wales. Very much deserved it.

Re: General Non Football Sports Chat

We just showed how to play against this England team. Having players who are good under a high ball negates the current game plan from England, and I was very, very shocked Manu wasn't used more to have a plan b. It seemed like a throw back to the early 00s with England relying on one man (Farrell, back then it was was Wilkinson) to be that spark, despite having stupidly crazy talent in your back 3 that wasn't utilised or allowed to be utilised, depends which way you want to look at it.

Anywho, first half was a crazy pace, second half we controlled it a lot better, and England's ill discipline cost them massively, and in the end that was the difference. Getting Biggar on at that vital time was what cemented the turning of the game (Remember he came on at 9-10). Gatland will stick to that tactic for then next two games methinks.

As for the World Cup, I do believe this will be the year one of our boys win it. Ireland and England have had their blip, and as stupid as it sounds i'd like to see us get our bad game out of the way during this tournament rather that at the WC.

Great second half performance from Wales, we completely disappeared after doing so well before half time. Soon as Wales figured out we had no plan B after kicking, they had our number pretty quick. 12 wins in a row now, gotta fancy their chances at the World Cup if this keeps up. As far this tournament goes, it's in their hands now with Ireland at home for the final game.

Scotland at Murrayfield is always tricky so we need to get past that one before we think of a full house against the Irish.

Gutted to have to miss the entire last day of the 6 Nations, but sounds like Scotland/England was a belter, which is amazing considering there was effectively nothing to play for at that point.

Real positive signs for Wales/England looking forward to Japan. Wales obviously with the Grand Slam and current winning streak, but England's PD & accumulation of bonus points is worth noting too. Exciting autumn ahead.

Re: General Non Football Sports Chat

I have concerns for both England and Wales ahead of the World Cup. England have lost half time leads twice in 3 games, and as good as Scotland's second half performance was, there's no way you should be taking a 31 point lead into half time and not winning the game. I think England will come unstuck when you least expect it.

I worry for Wales as we are now on the radar and are expected to do well. I would have preferred us to fly under the radar for a bit then build into it. There will be massive expectation and pressure on them to do well now eurgh.

Looking at the groups, England can't afford to slip up either, as one of the better teams is going out when your group has England, France and Argentina in.
