I'm optimistic we'll score at least two goals, also optimistic York won't score more than one.

Tricky matches for Arsenal and Liverpool. Man U could have difficulty but I expect them to win.

Apparently, Bent will play this weekend so i might expect a rugby score against Barrow.

Re: FA Cup 3rd Round Discussion

Bristol vs. Cardiff is off.... Boooo. Funny story, my friend is a Cardiff season ticket holder, and lives in Bristol as he is doing a masters at Bristol Uni. This game is a 'bubble game' (for those who don't know a bubble game is when you have to use the clubs official transportation to get to and from the ground), So he has to travel from Bristol to Cardiff just so he can get into Ashton Gate. I haven't spoken to him yet, but I'd imagine he was probably already in Cardiff this morning before he found out the game had been called off, lol.

Can't really see where the cupsets are going to come from this round. Possibly York if Stoke put out a second string side (that's where my cupset £1 is going). I'd be more convinced Lincon could beat Bolton if Lincon were higher in the table. Maybe Leeds can get a draw at our place if we put out the kids.

But just for laughs I'd like to see Barrow beat Sunderland 1-0 after Mikks comment :P

I think a January pitch not made of ice should be enough to throw York off their game.

Games at Sunderland and Middlesbrough are in danger of being called off if its still snowing at 2.30pm which it may very well be.

Police have given the Boro game the go-ahead.

There's a cople of matches like this. York still haven't arrived at Stoke yet!! Lots of fans struggling to get to grounds in time for kick offs according to the Beeb. There could be a few delayed kick offs.

It's amazing how a little bit of snow stops matches. If teams can get to the stadiums then they should play, if they're running late then kick off later.

If the pitch is frozen then get reserves to run up and down the pitch for an hour to break it up.

It's more about the fans saftey. You don't want them all skiding around in their cars close to the ground causing accidents.

I was at a match last night and it started snowing heavily during the game, and the roads outside were a nightmare afterwards, and there was one crash I did see.

And Mikk... I have a few quid on Bent scoring today, so he better do the business!! There I am thinking I'm saving money by having no match to attend this afternoon - and I go and spend it all on stupid bets! I will never learn.

Well for now it goes ahead but the skies don't look favourable, could be one called off after a small amout of playing time.

It would be all kinds of epic if Bent went on to score an own goal for Sunderland to lose 1-0 after all this talk from Mikk

Re: FA Cup 3rd Round Discussion

Stoke match is a delayed kick off 15:30

I'd hate to go to a match where it starts and then gets called off.

    Interesting team selection from Mancini:

Middlesbrough: Coyne, Hoyte, Riggott, Wheater, McMahon, O'Neil, Rhys Williams, Arca, Johnson, Bent, Franks.
Subs: Steele, Yeates, Emnes, Shawky, Grounds, Bennett, Luke Williams.

Man City: Given, Richards, Garrido, Sylvinho, Kompany, Zabaleta, Petrov, Weiss, De Jong, Mwaruwari, Boyata.
Subs: Taylor, Barry, Tevez, Vidal, Bellamy, Trippier, Tutte

Tevez should have made it two. Rounded the keeper but his lack of pace showed as a defender was able to get in his way and force him to hit the side netting.
