Chelsea could end up behind at the start of the year, they have not been convincing at all recently and United can expect to win their games but Fulham are a tough team and hardly what Chelsea would have wanted given their form. The next two games for Villa will be make or break for them. Arsenal and Liverpool in the same week, win both and no one would be able to deny that they are the most likely to break the top four despite what people say about Spurs and City.

Not going to be easy for us on monday with possibly Mensah, Jones, Cattermole & Richardson all out with knocks.

Even with Birmingham's good run I'm still expecting a victory tomorrow.

Really tough game for Chelsea on Monday, their form has been pretty poor lately, and Fulhams has been pretty good. One thing that I think will go in Chelsea's favour is that they are at home. If it were at Craven Cottage I'd fancy Fulham more, but I think they'll get a draw at best. It all depends on who's up front for Chelsea, if Anelka is fit then it's a Chelsea win.

I'll probably watch the Spurs/West Ham and Wolves/City games on Sky.

West Ham are on a little bit of a good run, and will like the fact that games are coming thick and fast. Spurs haven't done too badly recently, so I think this could be a good game. Would have to favour Spurs slightly - especially given the depth of their squad compared to West Hams.

Bellamy has to start for City instead of Robinho. He just gives so much to the team. With all the multi million pound world wide stars, who'd have thought Bellamy would be one of Citys most important and influential players? Should be another 3 points to continue Mancini's perfect start.

On paper, Sunderland are going to get bummed today unless noz and murphy actually turn into decent players.

    Teams:

Blackburn: Robinson, Chimbonda, Samba, Nelsen, Givet, Hoilett, Andrews, Nzonzi, Pedersen, Roberts, McCarthy. Subs: Brown, Jacobsen, Diouf, Olsson, Kalinic, Di Santo, Salgado.

Sunderland: Fulop, Bardsley, Nosworthy, Da Silva, McCartney, Henderson, Meyler, Cana, Murphy, Campbell, Bent. Subs: Carson, Zenden, Healy, Reed, Anderson, Noble, Liddle.

Instead of Campbell i'd be starting Noble, his record for the reserves/u18s is incredible this season and should be given a chance just like henderson.

I'd totally forgoten that Zenden was with Sunderland until I saw him in the highlights on Saturday.

Spurs played well earlier, and deserved their 2-0 win. Nice to see Modric back and scoring. West Ham need some quality players. Sullivan and Gould will have to give Zola all the money he needs if the Hammers are to pull away from the relegation zone.

    Fulham 1-0 up FTW

Not really, they've continually boo'ed him since he left the club.

I always get annoyed that a player gets booked for celebrating with the crowd - what's the offence it falls under?

Bent keeps on putting them away.

Birmingham are an an awesome run, Meldrew must be loving it. I'd have to say, Joe Hart is probably in pole position for the England number 1 shirt at the moment.

Gutted Chelsea came back to win against Fulham. But Drogba is off now for a few weeks, so some others have to step up and score some goals. Especially if Anelka stayes sidelined.

City looked really solid without breaking sweat tonight, could have had 6 easily.

Glad to see Tevez banging them in at the moment.

    Re: Premier League Discussion 28/12, 29/12 & 30/12

8 goals in 7 games isn't it? Always knew he'd be able to bang them in when given a proper run in the side.

City looked good, although Wolves did cause them some problems, but Citys defence was up to it tonight. If Tevez had have scored from that one touch play they had towards the end of the game then that would have been the goal of the season.

Mancienne needs to learn not to shoot, he gets worse the more chances he gets.

Bent now only (i think) 1 behind both Defoe and Drogba and with Drogba off for a month, Bent should hopefully take top spot.

Does anyone here actually think Kuyt is good? Sure he doesn't stop running and he scores the odd goal but really, he just isn't good enough. Yesterday I thought he was absolutely awful. I thought Lucas played better though.
