I'll be out all day Saturday and Sunday, so I won't catch any of the action live.

Fulham/Spurs, City/Stoke, and Arsenal/Villa are the games I'm most interested in this weekend. I wonder if Mick McCarthy will send his reserves up to Anfield on Saturday? lol.

Yes Tommy, it's a shame everyone isn't playing on Boxing Day, however that's the price we pay for Sky dictating the fixture list. I don't think it helps either that boxing day falls on a normal weekend, so they'll just carry on as usual.

Only away we are poor, remember we've still only lost twice at home all season.

And this weekend we'll have nearly a full strength squad back, its all coming right at christmas

But Cattermole & Cana haven't played together in those games fully and this weekend is going to be great and we've found our scoring boots again.

Stop shitting on Sunderland's form, Utd haven't exactly been setting things alight this season so far.

As has been said only decent game is Arsenal/Villa. 2 big tests coming up for Villa. Arsenal on Sunday and Liverpool on Tuesday. I'd fancy them to pick up 4 points which would be a great return for them.

As for Chelsea, it won't be easy but we should beat Birmingham. But our form isn't great so it'll be a nervy game I think. United going to Hull would in ordinary circumstances be 3 points but I'm not sure how the injury list is now. Can anyone tell me how many defenders are fit? Someone make my Christmas by telling me they'll go with the same backline as they did at Fulham.

Vidic and Rafael should be back, Wes Brown has an outside chance of making it too.

Should expect to see them all returning over the next cople of weeks.

If Chelsea hadent been so poor in recent weeks they would have been well out of sight thanks to United recent run of form. Seems like Villa and Ourselves are the only top clubs in some sort of form recently (Watch now as we get a dull 0-0). Birmingham aswell but I wouldnt count them as a top side even though they are doing brilliant.

I'm expecting a thrashing tomorrow. It usually happens when Stoke face a new manager. Anti-Hughes players will make the effort for their new boos, everyone else will be professional and perform as well as they can.

    Re: Premier League Discussion 26/12 & 27/12

I haven't seen much of the highlights as I was out, but it does seem like a rather boring boxing day in the league.

Darren Bent scored a cracking goal, shame Sunderland couldn't hang on for the win.

Important win for West Ham. Having drawn with Chelsea, and gained 3 points against Portsmouth they'll be going into their game with Spurs on Monday with some form, which is badly needed at the moment.

Chelsea drawing was a little bit of a suprise, even with Birminghams recent good run. United, Arsenal and Villa all now have the chance to close the gap on Sunday. Let's hope these games give us something interesting to talk about.

Damn right it was a good goal, shame we can't do that more often.
