    A team of former players

Yes, this is pointless before anyone points it out, but it's for a bit of fun and a challenge.

So try to gather the best team of former players for your club that you can, that are still playing, meaning that yes, United fans can use Ronaldo and Tevez now and Arsenal fans can use Adebayor if they choose to.

We'll go on how good they were, not by how good or not so good they are now in some cases.

I'll have a crack at this.

GK: Shay Given or Thomas Sorensen

Defence: Julio Arca, Johnny Evans, Callum Davenport, Pascal Chimbonda

Midfield: Kevin Kilbane, Gavin McCann, Liam Lawrence, Stewart Downing

Forwards: Kevin Phillips & Danny Dichio :D

Re: A team of former players

More or less the same as Tommy...

    GK T. Howard

    RB P. Neville
    CB M. Silvestre
    CB G. Pique
    LB G. Heinze

    RM C. Ronaldo
    CM N. Butt
    CM D. Beckham (c)
    LM J. Veron

    ST R. van Nistelrooy
    ST C. Tevez

I actually did a fantasy football team once based on United Old Boys... they scored pretty well.

Note the lack of Richardson in our team Mikk. I was trying to think of a left winger for ages... a left winger that isn't Richardson. I went with Ronaldo left Beckham right in the end.
Yep, 7 games and 3 goals for us in 2003

And i wouldn't of picked richardson too :D

I wanted to put Forlan in.

Rossi didn't get enough first team games to qualify for my team. But Pique got in coz I couldn't think of anyone else :D

You're being so anti-Tevez now having said he was a huge loss to me recently lol. He should definitely get into this side on his first season at United alone.

Forlan was poor for us really.

Is Yorke technically still playing? He'd be a better bet than Forlan.

    And he scores goals...!

Yorke was released by us and i think is now considering being a coach.

    Andy Cole still plays though.

Re: A team of former players

To be fair to Tom, he's always been a bit anti us signing him on a permanent deal, were as I'm a fan boy. Although that will be toned down a bit now he's with City.

Re: A team of former players

It took me fucking ages to do my team when I was looking for my final player which was a center back and still playing because over the years that has probably been our most consistant position where for years it was Big Sami, Henchoz and Carra and the problem there is that Carra is obviously still in the squad and Henchoz has retired.

Re: A team of former players

I hate David Marshall fecking years of getting teased for having the same name as that cnut, worse part was i was a keeper too. Have to admit though i thought he was a good keeper at Celtic and was treated very harshly by Strachan.
