So Whats The Upside: Trade Edition!

I let this whole week go by and watched the shows. So, here are the trade results.

    Moving to the Raw roster:
    Gail Kim
    Alicia Fox
    Jack Swagger
    Evan Bourne
    Mark Henry

    Moving to the SmackDown roster:
    Matt Hardy
    Finlay
The Hart Dynasty - David Hart Smith, Tyson Kidd & Natalya

    Moving to the ECW roster:
    Shelton Benjamin
    Goldust
    William Regal
    Brie & Nikki Bella
I think that the winner for this trade is ultimately ECW because now they have a bunch of new stars. Although, right now they are boring, but in a few months they may become interesting.

I dont like how HArdy and Finlay were moved back onto Smackdown. i think it is stupid. The Hart Dynasty Move is a good move.

Raw, i think got screwed this time around. They got news stars not in mainevent form yet, however, they may end up being able to pay off in the long run.

Goldust is in a good place along with everyone else that went to ECW.

So, for you, what is the upside of this Trade?

What kind of roll do you think Goldust will play on ECW? He's not really built up to be an ECW Champion, but I would certainly be thrilled if they gave him as short run with the title.

I don't really see a loser in this trade, at the moment. It depends on how the heel and face turns work out.

If Goldust had gold-plated trash can lids and stuff like at WrestleMania X8, he could be ECW Champion. But I think Dreamer's the best person to establish more credibility at this point.

Upside? Fresh matches, I guess. But it wasn't radical enough to change anything of note. ECW will either become better or a whole lot worse, depending on the new talent.

Re: So Whats The Upside: Trade Edition!

    Upside:
-Shelton has probably the only chance he'll ever get to win a world title.
-ECW has proven it can elevate talent. Bourne, Swagger, Harts all have made names for themselves on the smaller show, and now have the opportunity to continue to grow on a bigger show.
-Regal can now become a big player on a show

    Downside:
-I can't fathom moving the Bellas to ECW. It makes no sense to me.
-Hornswoggle is on his own AGAIN! He needs to be associated with someone, otherwise he's useless.
-Finlay to Smackdown is an odd one.

Smackdown is the winner by a nose. They added young heel depth with the Hart Dynasty. They got a decent worker in Finlay. When Matt Hardy recovers, he'll add huge heel depth.

However, like stated before, we need to see how everything works out. It's a little early to tell. We saw a bit of the effect on ECW and Smackdown. Now we must see it on RAW.

Shelton has been on ECW before and then randomly ended up on Smackdown....plus he came closer a few years ago with his move to Raw.

Not to mention Katie Lea. God save underappreciated WWE workers.

I'm on that gravy train as well. Not only with Katie Lea, but with guys like Paul Burchill, The Brian Kendrick, Charlie Haas, Jamie Noble, etc. Those guys could easily survive in Independent territories. There is reason they need to decay in the WWE with such brilliant talent up their sleeves.

Jamie Noble & Brain Kendrick returned to WWE because they couldn't survive on on the indies.

I thought Brian Kendrick was a moderately big indie talent?

But yeah, at least we got to see Mark Henry beat up Randy Orton. That was scinitilating stuff.

Hey, look at that - I spelled scintilating right. I think...

I cant stand Swagger. he just seem so....stupid. I mean, if he was in high school, he would probably be my friend...I hate my friends. he seems like a waste of time and money for me.

I'm told he can do throws and shit. They could use that kind of guy on Raw. I'm even told he threw Orton. Or it might have even been a leg sweep or something.
