Former WCW and WWE Star says He'll work for free

I know it isn't usually the most accurate of news reports, but the long running "Slammer" column in the New York Daily News has a quote from former WCW star Buff Bagwell that was just too good to pass up.
When asked about a return to WWE (where Bagwell had a cup of coffee during the short-lived WCW Invasion angle), Buff is quoted as saying:
"I'd love to join them so much I'd work for free!"
Bagwell also said that he has not been contacted by TNA, but if they called (even collect) he would listen.

I dont think he is worth that much money.

Lol I concur, the only time this guy is ever worth anything, even if it's not money but rather time and patience, is if it were some sort of WCW Alumni show. Otherwise, he's pretty insignificant and useless.

Buff along with Steiner back in WCW was gold - funny, a good lacky. But as a superstar he flopped. But then again wcw never booked him well when by him self - more of the NWO back up. He had potential, look and skills but never used properly which is a shame.

I wouldnt give him a chance now days though

Come to think of it, I'd maybe watch him in a jobber run if this was his actual gimmick- a broken down has-been who wrestles for peanuts, and begs the fans for food after the match.

Eh, Buffs a good lad, atleast he has a sense of humour about it, who wouldn't work for peanuts in the current economic crisis?

    Very good.

He can't be that old, he always seems to look the same when he's on indy shows. Maybe this way he'll get alot more bookings, if he'll accept a small wage. Got to get it earned somehow.

I don't think hes worth anybodys time right now, hes past his prime (but then again that hasen't stopped what half of TNA's roster?) back in WCW he was actually decent but like someone above said they never booked him right which sucks because he had all the makings of a top guy just never got his push.

Buff Bagwell hasn't killed himself yet? Wow!

If I was Buff Bagwell I'd kill myself. To be that awful at everything was definitely a talent. If WWE or TNA were to sign him, he should pay them for the privilage of performing on TV...

I never liked him. Can you tell?

If they get him for next to nothing I think he'd be a decent person on the mic. Maybe in some sort of strange lacky role. He was always great on the mic, and could teach some of the younger guys a thing or two.

I dont know though doubt it will happen.

Desperate much?? I dont think anyone is left from WCW who didnt make the jump before its demise. Just Shane Helms from memory.

Buff's the man. Shit, I'd work for the WWE if they didn't pay me myself. Long shot, but I hope he goes to the E.
