Saw it today, it was a pretty good movie but the length started becoming too much about half way through the 45 minute desert scene. If it wasn't longer than that. I was preparing for the worst after critics dubbed it shit but it was a good movie with it's only major flaw being it's length.

I just got back from seeing it. Holy shit. 5/5. It had everything that makes an action movie, an action movie. It was hysterical in alot of parts, it had the little love angle, and the action was just. God. Amazing. Seriously, go see it. Watch the first one and then go see the second one.
PRETTY MUCH THIS, TBH. It's not meant to be ZOMG STELLAR (lol RottenTomatoes are such picky bastards). But what more can you ask for. It was what I thought it would be like. Actopm, action. action, bits of comedy, bad gais planning bad stufforz, etc.
LOVED the robot humping Megan Fox's leg and her reaction, fuckin lol'ed at that as did the theater.

Yes, I have a GIF of two women kissing.
Yes, it's hot. Yes it's Megan Fox kissing another woman from Jennifer's Body. Yes, it's hot... owait, I already said that. Yes, I'm aware this makes me sound like a total lesbian. But this scene? UNF.
I guess I'm in the minority where I agree with RottenTomatoes, I didn't think it was anything special, and was average/par for the course at best. I won't tear it a new one like some critics, but it's faaaaaaaaaaaar from a 5/5

wait are you saying Magic Johnson is black, has AIDS and has it better than ME?
definitely far from a 5/5... reflecting back there was actually multiple things I didn't like about the movie but it was still good for what I expected.

Going into it I wanted one thing lots of action. And it provided that. And Megan Fox was hot as hell. John Turturro was hilarious, random Rainn Wilson appearance was great. The story/plot all that was from great, but never thought it would be. So worth the 10 bucks I spent.

Paramount's "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" grossed an estimated $16 million in midnight runs, the best gross ever for a film opening on a Wednesday.
And it's the third highest midnight gross of all time after "The Dark Knight" ($18.5 million) and "Star Wars: Episode III-Revenge of the Sith" ($17 million). "Dark Knight" had the advantage of opening on a Friday. "Revenge of the Sith" opened on a Thursday.
"Transformers 2" opened in roughly 3,000 runs at 12:01 midnight on Wednesday.
“Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” was the previous record-holder for best midnight gross for a Wednesday release, having earned $12 million in midnight viewings in July 2007.
“Transformers 2” expands today into a total of 4,226 runs.

Wow that is pretty damn good for a Wednesday. Big weekend to come.

Just got back from seeing it. Thought it was waaay too long, at points I asked myself, "How long is there left?" I liked the action, it was pretty awesome. I felt like the Decepticon's (sp) leader was far too weak...he was supposed to be the main enemy in the film, he should have wrecked some nubs. I also felt like they tried to incorporate too much comedy in the film, there were some funny parts, but it felt so...forced at some points. I liked it overall though, out of a 10, I'd give it a 7.
Grossing north of $55 million, Paramount's sequel "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" easily scored the best opening day ever for a Wednesday release at the domestic box office.
Previous record-holder was "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," which grossed $44.2 million in its first day.
Par will release an official Wednesday number Thursday morning.
"Transformers 2," playing in more than 4,200 theaters in the U.S., has a strong shot at eclipsing the $152.4 million earned by "Spider-Man 2" in its first five days. That film opened on the same Wednesday in 2004.
The opening day haul in the U.S. included $16 million in midnight runs, the best run ever for a film released on a Wednesday. And it's the third-best of all time after "The Dark Knight" ($18.5 million) and "Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith" ($16.9 million).
The sequel also is cleaning up overseas, where it's now playing in virtually every major territory, save for Italy and India.
On Wednesday, film saw boffo opening numbers in both Australia and Korea, two key markets for the franchise. Grossees in each territory exceeded the performance of the original "Transformers."
"Revenge of the Fallen" got off to a sizzling start in the U.K. and Japan, where it opened early over the weekend. Pic grossed $19.6 million from 833 runs to top the international B.O. chart for the weekend.
In Blighty, pic grossed north of $14 million from 517 locations to come within 3% of the opening of "The Dark Knight" last summer. Sequel outperformed the original "Transformers" by 71% and "Spider-Man 2" by 18%.
Action remains a gigantic draw overseas, evidenced by the turnout for the first "Transformers." That film earned $51 million in South Korea alone, followed by $47.5 million in the U.K.
Like the domestic box office, the international B.O. is primed for a big-budget action tentpole.
Overseas, the highest-grossing summer actioner to date is "Terminator Salvation" ($196.5 million).
Last summer a number of Hollywood event pics logged boffo biz. This summer has been sluggish in comparison. Four films last year jumped the $300 million mark, led by "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" ($401.3 million), "Dark Knight" ($375.1 million) and "Hancock" ($326.2 million).
Domestically, estimates have "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" grossing $150 million-$170 million over its five-day debut.

Wow that is insane. On pace for at least 150 mill for the opening weekend. WOW
