This is a discussion on G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009) within the Released Movies forums, part of the Coming Attractions category; I wouldn't bet on that. Marvel seems to know what they're doing most of the time, while.. well, G.I. Joe ...

I wouldn't bet on that. Marvel seems to know what they're doing most of the time, while.. well, G.I. Joe is on the fast track to nowhere. Bargain DVD bins across the nation.
This movie is going to suck. Hard. They apparently feel that GI Joe needs to have a "USA vs terrorists in 2008" look and feel to it. Lets make everyone wear suits leftover from X3 too, so they all look the same. Can't wait to see what the do with Cobra Commander. Instead of the helmet or the hood, they'll have him in a turban.
Who wants to bet that the Captain America movie won't be true to it's origins and be set in WWII, but rather be against some "Arab" nationalists in a fictional middle eastern country?
I was under the impression they were making G.I. Joe more of like a World Force rather than a U.S. Force. I don't think there main base is even in the U.S. in this movie.
At least that is what I heard.

So this is entertainment right. What do fans feel about the possible G.I Joe moving Rise of Cobra? They have Dennis Quaid as General Hawk.
Now this is a movie i've been waiting for years. Long before they even talked about making it. I told my brother they should make a G.I Joe movie. Than he tells me; remember that you always wanted to see a G.I Joe movie. So i knew what was going to be his answer. They're going to make it.
I believe this movie can be a big box office hit. I just hope C.M. Punk isn't part of Cobra. Which of all the character's are you looking foward to seeing. Evil Twin brothers, Cobra Commander. One of my personal favourite's Storm Shadow. Go Joe!!!

This is another one I'm just not sure on. It could go any number of directions, though I really don't expect it to be as well-done overall as The Transformers. As long as its watchable, I'll be happy.
Re: G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009) - Preview & Discussion
I don't know about this now. I was anticipating it when I first heard about it and will eventually go see it, but I'm kind of nervous about how it is going to play out. I will end up loving it probably because I am kind of meh about it right now.
Re: G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009) - Preview & Discussion
I was reading somewhere a couple of weeks ago or maybe a little longer that it is at best watchable but just barely. I have yet to hear anything good about it. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
