Plot Summary: Burton and Vicki make their way across the country when an accident leaves them stranded in the middle of a corn field. They stumble upon a cult of children led by the charismatic young leader Isaac and his right hand "man" Malachai. They soon learn that this is no typical cornfield and there is something different about the children living in Gatlin, Nebraska. "Harvest" takes on a life-or-death urgency when Burton and Vicki must find a way to escape before they becomes sacrifices to He Who Walks Behind The Rows!

This is a great series to reboot. Outside of the first movie, the series has been horrible. It's a great concept and story, but the writers just could not come close to the feel of the original.

Well anyone who shares that fear with me will be excited to know that The Weinstein Co. intends to bring back the Corn kids. According to Variety, the Weinstein Brothers have tapped Transformers 2 co-writer Ehren Kruger to adapt Stephen King’s short story “Children of the Corn.” So from the looks of it, this isn’t necessarily a remake of the original movie but a reboot entirely, as Kruger will be using the book as his basis rather than the film.

“If you read the short story,” said Weinstein, “it's got such a strong feeling to it and there's this religious overtone to it as well. Ehren wants to hit it hard… We are bringing something new to the story."

I'm pretty excited about them rebooting the serious, but not too excited about Kruger. Who knows though maybe it will work out alright. Uhhh probably not though.

The sequels weren't torture inducing, but they are a prime example of pointless direct to video movies.

I can't remember if I've seen the first film, but I've read the short story, and the religious overtones really add a sense of menace to it. I think I might enjoy it.

I just wonder how it will fare if he is going straight from the book.

It comes from the writer of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, so I don't have high hopes for it.

I never saw any of the original movies, although i've heard good things.
