Well the Halloween remake wasn't even god i mean the original ws better then the remake. And why are they remaking the Halloween movies again???? Their classics.
I don't know what's more retarded. Making "_______" part 12, or re-making a series of movies that already have 12 parts. And yes, before somebody tells me how many Halloween movies their actually are, please realize I was embellishing for dramatic effect.
Is the goal by the extinction of humanity to have 100 or more Halloweens, Friday the 13th's, and Star Treks? What studio green lights this shit?

It must be worth it on some level. I'm sure they are making money if they keep making them...

They really should have stopped after that. They are ruining the legacy of the series. Now in the future, if someone picks up "Halloween", I fear they make pick up the pile of garbage that was remade a few years ago, rather than the original back in the late 70's.

I don't have the box office figures handy, but I doubt they are very high. Making money is subjective. If you can make a horror movie for $10m and you make $30m at the box office, yeah....you made money, but the movie is a flop.
And "Saw" is quickly headed down this path too. What was once innovative and interesting is now quickly becoming very repetitive and mundane.

But atleast Saw is a new horror film not not a remake and their movies still good.
The last two were terrible. The story is gone and the formula is now put MORE people in a room and just come up with different ways to kill them. Not every movie needs 45 sequels. The greatness of the first Saw is now diminished because Hollywood couldn't leave well enough alone.
