Police arrest 8 bouncers in Miami nightclub beating

A security camera inside a Miami nightclub caught, what appears to be, a brawl that left some spring breakers bloodied and beaten.

Several men say they were disputing a large bar tab and that's when they say eight bouncers attacked them.

"All of a sudden I feel a punch come to the side of may face and blood just exploded like all over the walls," said John Merryman, a victim.

Merryman recalls a frightening night at Club Mansion, a night he and his two friends visiting from Delaware went powerless.

Cameras were rolling with Miami Beach police say they were beat up by eight bouncers as they contested a liquor tab of $700.

The video shows John and his friends Sean Sweeney and Trevor Costello in an office with employees from the club.

And then there is a commotion and it appears one by one the victims are dragged into a back room where according to the police report they were punched, kicked, and knocked to the ground.

"They grabbed Sean by the throat and slammed him down to the ground and took him to a back hallway until he was unconscious and they kept choking him and they kicked him and Trevor tried to stand up off the couch and that's when they side kicked him right in the side of the face," said Merryman.

You can see after the vicious attack Sean puts his hands up, baffled as to what went down, when, according to them, they were simply inquiring about the bill.

Sean apparently paid the tab and the assault doesn't end there.

"We paid the bill and continued to get beatings," said Sweeney. "They continued to assault us after we paid the bill."

John with his shirt torn gets up from the floor sits down and then is given what looks like paper towels to wipe his now bloody face.

"I didn't know what they were going to do to me," said Merryman. "They could have literally killed me back there. They could have done anything to me and I would have, you know, I felt like I was completely powerless over my life. That's as scared as I've ever been in my entire life."

Police have arrested eight suspects in the case.
