If he was playing in England then yes he would get the stick, but he plays in Italy and he will be applauded for what he did, it is the culture over there and this sort of thing needs to be taken out of the game, also the supporter shouldnt have been on the pitch in the first place

Actually thats one reason I don't follow soccer, i'm not one for rabid fans, i mean i was pretty pissedwhen the father and son came onto the Cell and beat the first base umpire, but that's just some soccer fans are just ridiculous. We use the media to vent our frustration, they use their fists

Soccer is a world wide game. Actions like this do not take place everywhere. In Britain these sort of theatrics are frowned upon. They have quietly crept into the British game, but it's being dealt with. In countries like Italy, Spain, and I’d say the worst is Portugal, these theatrics are seen in every game, and encouraged.

But, having watches some MLS highlights this season (a decent standard of playing may I add) there is no evidence to support that the MSL is a league of diving players. They tend to stay on their feet. So to generalise the whole world of football (soccer) by theatrics in one country is totally wrong.

Oh and thanks for the vid... I hadn't seen Celtics winning goal.
