I mean when have you ever heard a serious candidate that has actually done well in the caucases say he wants to get rid of the income tax?

I like ron paul, I really do. I agree with everything he says.

I only have one problem and to me its a huge problem.

I do not agree with bringing the troops home right away. And because of that Im not sure If i could vote for him. And the problem with that is, I am not sure of who else to vote for.

I used to think the same way you did on this. But then I started thinking, What good are we really doing over there? The answer I came up with is that we are doing no good....in fact we are doing more harm than good. The Iraqi troops we are trying to train are making little to no progress and they don't seem to really care if they do or not. We have private security groups in Iraq like Blackwater who have immunity and cannot be prosecuted by Iraq or the U.S. if they commit acts of murder like they have been accused of. Do you think this is going to help our world image in the long run? The middle east has been in conflict for thousands of years and it will always be. It was a mistake to go over there and now that we see that it was, we should correct that error and bring our troops home.

Well there are some things the President can do without Congress's approval....hmmm...lets see....like the Iraq invasion? Wheter it was lawful or not President Bush did that.

Almost every other mainstream candidate is giving tough talk on Iran. Do you see a pattern here? Is there a possibility that we will invade Iran in the same way we did Iraq? It is definite possibility and it would lead to much more problems than what we are seeing in Iraq. It could very possible lead to World War III.

This is just one example of how the President can act without Congress so don't give me that "The President can't do it without congress dak" crap

If President Bush wanted to pull the troops out of Iraq today do you think the Democratically controlled Congress would stop him? No. Are there any mainstream candidates besides Ron Paul calling for immediate troop removal? No.

But just let another 9/11 happen? Or lets say we bring them home, and a few months later we get attacked, are we not supposed to go fight?

I dont know what we should do, but to me it just really feels we need to keep our troops there.
