The accident was on his second run in the car (with the charger on). The first one he broke the British land speed record (he did 314mph), but the record is based on you average time when doing it again in the opposite direction (so that wind cannot be a factor). It was on the 2nd run (the run back) that he crashed. On the show, it was said that his crash (which started at 280mph) was the fastest crash ever in the UK. However, it would not count unless he crashed again going in the opposite direction!! | |
