Jesse 'the body' Ventura

I was watching Larry King today, and Ventura was on. He said he was the most powerful man in America right now because he's able to get the Republicans to get in bed with Democrats to avoid a Moderate like him from getting anything done (paraphrased of course).

Is Ventura simple drinking the special juice, or does The Bod actually represent the majority of Americans?

P.S. He looks like a circus clown.

Re: Jesse 'the body' Ventura

Based off of what I have read about what he did as governor of Minnesota and what I read above I'm not saying he is right in that he is the most powerful man in America. However, I think he provides at least a start of how the majority of Americans feel. Now, I'm not sure how well things ran while he was in office because I don't live in Minnesota, but he has said or done a lot of things that at least gets started on solving the problem that affect this nation. A perfect example of that is his light rail transit project that runs from downtown Minneapolis to the Mall of America. American's are asking for solutions to the oil problem and the best thing the Federal Government can come up with is alternative energy which is only slightly cheaper than what we have now, but unfortunately, drives the price of food up.

The best answer, as of now, lies with mass transit. The idea that a city like New York has mass transit where you can get around without a car but other major cities such as Los Angeles don't have nearly the same capabilities seems nothing sort of strange. In fact, if you want a good example of how great public transportation can be for an economy and people in general just take a look at Tokyo. Also, I think Americans mostly agree with his views on opposing teacher's unions and since the Spitzer incident prostitution. Based off of many of his views I would say his biggest opposition isn't just hardline Republicans but government employees as a whole who believe in the 'status quo' because it keeps them paid.

He's just on a powertrip because he looks like the bad guy from Iron Man.

Pwn'd- v. as in, the Saints' kick return
team against the Eagle's kick return team.

I don't know why anyone takes what Ventura says seriously anymore. He's gone on multiple lapses of sanity recently. I'm surprised he's still getting attention from the mainstream media.
