Personally, even if he has changed his views on blacks, people do not see that, and only see what is printed right now. I see it as a stake in his coffin. Let's see what it does to him in SC.

What I said Dak, was it didn't matter if he wrote it or not. To me it shows a lack of responsibility. If you're gonna have something printed in YOUR name, you've got to be god awful STUPID not to look it over. Seriously, it's printed in HIS NAME and HE DIDN'T EVEN LOOK AT IT?! That's like asking for someone to print something stupid. And yeah it's racy, that was my point, the subject is missing a question mark. I never totally meant to say that Ron Paul was racist. But then again, When another race comes to America, takes you from your home, enslaves you, treats you like shit, etc, I'll be a little more lenient on racist comments from you.

And yeah I did research, but what's the point of bringing things like this up if I present all points in one post? Oh, you mean forums are meant for discussion? I know it's an interesting concept, but maybe YOU should think of some things before you open your mouth.

I wouldn't say stupid, I'd say careless would be the word. Like I said, back in 1992 the media coverage wasn't near what is today. Like it or not politicians probably didn't pay as much attention to these kinds of things, blogs, newsletters, whatever.. because nobody read them and scrutinized every word like they do today.

Yes the original article was in Paul's newsletter and credited as being written by him from the accounts I just read.

It was a careless thing to do but think about it really.

You are a Congressman and you have a lot of other stuff on your plate. You entrust someone to write a newsletter for you. They betray you by writing something as stupid as this. End of story.

He apologized for it profusely and it was never brought up until he started making an impact in the Presidential race. New Hampshire was where he could have did the best out of any other state and it was strategically brought up to hurt him in that state.

It is an underhanded, and cowardly, thing to do.
