No, it will not happen.

Both sides are remarkably stubborn, unwilling to compromise, and citing "God" as their reason for not wanting to budge or accomdate the other side. The fighting in the Middle East will NEVER end.

There will be peace in the middle east at some point.

When that happens we will be entering the end times as prophesized in the Bible.

...Wait. Do some of you really believe we are approaching the end times? That the end is truly nigh in our lifetimes? Or are you joking?

Just an opinion, but a middle east peace treaty isn't going to happen in the next year. Years of bloodshed have a momentum that is hard to stop. That said, I think there will be peace in the middle east, but it's going to happen one nation at a time. The treaty between israel and egypt has lasted for decades, and with jordan as well, I believe. The palestinians and israelis will be the last two to put down there arms, however, and only after more death and occupation.

I do personally believe so, but we never know for sure.

There are some things happening now that seem to be fulfilling prophecy.

The Bible says in 2 Peter 3 Verse 10:

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
