Not a problem dude.

I agree with Simon. I really haven't been paying attention yet to what's going on with the candidates, but I will in the Primary's. That all being said, I really don't think a Republican is going to win this election. George Bush has given the public such a negative view of the Republican party, that I believe the voters will "by default" choose the Democrat.

Just my two cents.

Double post.
The only candidate I like in the whole field is Ron Paul. If you would research some of his views, you would see that he is not a Republican as we have came to know them.

It is not so much really that the country wants a Democrat in office, they just want a change of direction. That does not have to mean a Democrat.

I don't like any of the other candidates at all, Democrat or Republican.

As much as you hate The South, it is almost impossible for a candidate to lose in the South and win the Presidency. So unless they get rid of the Electoral College The South will remain a major player.

Re: Obama

I'm with Dak here. I'll believe that southerners are ready to vote for a black man as President when I see it. That's not to say they will automatically vote for a Republican either. I think Ron Paul should run as an independent especially after he got screwed out of being in the debate the other night. How could they not include him? He is 3rd in NH. Fucking idiots.

I have a pretty good feeling that those people in the north the didnt vote in 2004 will most certainly be coming out in full force this time around.

Re: Obama

Heh, what the priest said is true though Slim, this country is more concerned with race. It's fucking insane. And to be honest, almost all the white folk will deny it even though, here even, it's still extremely present. Anyway, I like Obama, I like his views. I've researched all the candidates, and I'm still pretty fond of Obama. So he's probably getting my vote. Also talking with a lot of people up north here, It seems most of them dislike that "radical moron" Ron Paul. Are they misinformed? Probably. Do their votes still count? Yes.

Re: Obama

but the point is, it is a black church. If Hilary Clinton went to a church who's motto was ''we are proud to be a white church!'' then there would be a huge problem with that and she wouldnt even have a chance.

Is america racist? Yea, I say it still is. But its no more only whites who are racist. There are more and more black people who are racist toward white people and its a huge double standard.

Why do people continually try to make that argument? It's ridiculous.

White Americans have never been persecuted and tortured and killed in mass because of the colour of their skin. White Americans haven't had to fight and fight and fight for a fair shake from American society. White Americans don't have any reason to assert and re-assert pride over what they've overcome and what colour they are.

It's that simple, really.

I agree with Freak except one thing.. I've run into a lot of African-Americans in my lifetime who hold people like myself or my family accountable for slavery. There's many of us out here whose families weren't even living in America in the 1800s. Mine was in Canada and they had nothing to do with slavery. Look a little more into our backgrounds before you open your mouth. That's all I ask.

Sure, that's pretty unfair. But even here where I live (western Canada), I've faced resentment from native people because of what happened to their ancestors long ago, back before any of my family lived here. And you know what? I can't really blame them.

Anyway, if a black church wants to feel "unashamedly black" and flaunt it, I say go right ahead.
