Congressman Ron Paul is an independent Republican from the 14th district of Texas. He was a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force and a physician by trade. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Dr. Paul graduated from Gettysburg College and received his doctorate at Duke University.

Ron Paul has served in Congress for 17 years and is appropriately known as the “Taxpayers’ Best Friend” and the leading advocate for freedom in our nation’s capital. If it is not authorized by the constitution, it is not the responsibility of the federal government. The Founding Fathers would be proud.

The very reason I have to do things like this is what is wrong with this country. No media outlets will give Ron Paul any airtime.

This is one of the biggest grass roots operations in history.

Ah yes, you make the special interest groups the evil new world order. If you would do some research rather than falling for a "grass roots marketing campaign," you would realize that special interest groups have given you more luxuries than you could ever imagine.

You often complain about your job, imagine it before special interest groups used unions to lobby for conditions in the work environment to be improved. Imagine if special interest groups hadn't pushed for global warming to be looked at time and time again. Imagine your food being infected with ecoli like bacteria - special interest groups brought you programs like the FDA. Or hey, fan of the 2nd amendment? NRA card holding member? Yeah, guess what they are; a special interest group.

I don't agree with everything special interest groups have to offer. I could careless about the 2nd amendment. I don't need a gun to define my masculinity. (The next line is for Tyler) I got my own rifle with a real long barrel in my pants. I think unions are obnoxious - I've had a debate about them with Simon multiple times before. But they aren't the problem with this country.

The problem with this country is special interest groups like the oil industry controlling this country. Special Interests Groups should have no business in politics at the national level.

I am not a card carrying member of the NRA since I do not support everything they stand for. I don't need a Special Interest Group to protect my Constitutional Rights.

I need a President that will follow the Constitution of the United States and not try to "interpret" it. It was meant just how it was written.

Actually it's funny, how would you end the war on drugs? Legalize them? You can't stop them, and in fact if you think you can you're delusional or just flat stupid. Really, I hate to say it, drugs are an integral part of the economy.

And how exactly is a military draft good? Yeah sure, I want a bunch of punks who could give a fuck about this country overseas "fighting" for us

Voted against the United Nations? What exactly is so terrible about a gathering of leaders of all countries to discuss things?

Also to say Ron Paul won't be controlled by Special Interest Groups is laughable, I guarantee he is controlled by at least one. And if you don't believe so you are clearly delusional.

So in conclusion, best choice for You? yes.
For America? Maybe not.

O.k., the war on drugs is a failure and it always has been. What can be done about it? Stop unfair sentencing to "prove a point" is one step we can take. When someone possessing a large amount of powder cocaine gets a lesser sentence than someone carrying a fraction of the amount of crack cocaine, there is problem. That is one of the many problems with the war on drugs. Another thing is that we could look into the possibility of decriminalizing marijuana like many states all ready have.

If you look again, Ron Paul is AGAINST reinstating the military draft.

The U.N. wants to impose a direct tax on us. Ron Paul successfully fought this move in Congress last year, but if we are going to stop ongoing attempts of this world government body to tax us, we will need leadership from the White House.

We must withdraw from any organizations and trade deals that infringe upon the freedom and independence of the United States of America.

Ron Paul has never taken any money from special interest groups and has promised he never will. That is one of the reasons he doesn't have enough money to get a lot of t.v. time. He can account for most of his money by donations from the internet. Like I said before, this is truly a grass roots campaign like we haven't saw in several years. Ron Paul supporters are actually excited about supporting their candidate. This is not about democrats or republicans, this is about a change in America. This about a President who protects liberties, this about a President that respects the Constitution of the United States of America.

I don't believe him, to be honest. And really it's going to take more than one president to change america. He can't do it alone. he may be a step in the right direction but i doubt America will ever be what it once was.

Also, lower healthcare costs is great in concept but really, are we then taking away from the doctors who pay umpteen number of dollars to BECOME a doctor? I mean, they pay more, they should make more.
