KICKOFF: Sunday, 1:00 ET
SURFACE: FieldTurf
TV: FOX (Matt Vasgersian, JC Pearson, Nischelle Turner)
SERIES: 21st regular-season meeting. The Seahawks lead the series, 11-9, having won the last seven consecutive games. They have not lost a regular-season game to St. Louis since 2004. They had a 37-13 victory in their first meeting this season, a game in which they took a 17-0 lead in the first quarter.
PREDICTION: Seahawks 24-20
KEYS TO THE GAME: If QB Matt Hasselbeck misses a second consecutive game, at least the Seahawks saw Seneca Wallace healthy and able to lead an efficient offense last Sunday. And his mobility isKEY behind an offensive line that's likely to be missing four starters again. WR Deion Branch is healthy, coming off a big game and has the quickness to be a thorn to the Rams' shaky secondary that just benched Corey Chavous in favor of Todd Johnson. ... Rams RB Steven Jackson has always been a primary focus of the Seahawks' offense. At 6-2 and 235 pounds, he's a tough physical opponent for Seattle's undersized front seven. And Rams coach Jim Haslett wants to increase the production of the ground game to free the receivers of double teams and help the pass protection for QB Marc Bulger. One of those receivers is rookie Donnie Avery, who is the team's lone big-play threat downfield but is struggling with his route-running.
KEY INJURIES: Seahawks: Hasselbeck, LB Leroy Hill (shoulder) and LT Walter Jones (knee) appear unlikely to play. Rams: RG Richie Incognito (ankle) should play.
