KICKOFF: Sunday, 1:00 ET
SURFACE: Grass
TV: FOX (Sam Rosen, Tim Ryan, Chris Myers)
SERIES: 10th regular season meeting. Packers lead series 6-3. In the last meeting the Packers defeated the Panthers 31-17 in a game that wasn't nearly as close as the final score indicated.
PREDICTION: Packers 27-24
KEYS TO THE GAME: The Panthers will take a long look at how the Saints torched the Packers for 318 passing yards Monday night, but Carolina will still base its offense on its sixth-ranked ground game. Green Bay is tied for the NFC lead with 17 interceptions while Panthers QB Jake Delhomme will throw a few passes per game into coverage. On the other hand, the Packers are giving up 142.9 rushing yards per game and will have a difficult time with the Panthers' tandem of RBs DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart. ... In what figures to be a back and forth game, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has to remain patient. When the team fell behind in New Orleans on Monday, Rodgers started forcing passes and Green Bay was quickly in a hole it couldn't dig out of. Look for RB Ryan Grant early on as the Packers ease into the game. The Panthers are middle of the pack against the run, allowing 109.9 yards per game, but their linebackers can get sucked into over-pursuing and lose gap integrity at times.
KEY INJURIES: Panthers: LB Adam Seward (ankle) is questionable. Packers: SS Atari Bigby (ankle) and FS Nick Collins (bruised knee) should play; WR Greg Jennings (rib) has been limited in practice but will play; RT Mark Tauscher (hamstring) will be re-evaluated Friday.
FAST FACTS: Williams is averaging 116.8 rushing yards in his past four games. ... Rodgers has a 101.8 passer rating with seven touchdowns and two interceptions at home.
