Random question. Do you guys ever get bored of seeing the same teams win year after year?
Do you think their should be a salary cap on the Premier League?
I'm asking because.. in every sport in the U.S. there's either a salary cap or a luxury tax (when payroll exceeds a certain number) and it's made for more competitive seasons because instead of it being all about the money, decision making (trades, signings, drafts, etc..) has taken a bigger role.
I'm not trying to start something, this is a legitimate question.

Oh yeah, back in the seventies and eighties Liverpool used to win it most years but they had diffrent teams competing with them all the time, and sometimes them teams would win it

Wouldnt work, if they was a salary cap here the players would just go to somewhere where they would get more money, if the clubs want to pay that much in wages its their choice.

A downside to having a salary cap is that sometimes a team that ends up winning the championship doesn't have as much talent as a previous team would.. meaning the overall gameplay has suffered.. However, a team like say the Patriots in the NFL.. have great teams because their coaching staff is the elite and veteran players who have yet to win a championship are willing to take less money to go there..
In baseball, the Yankees and Red Sox among a couple other teams always do well because even though there is a luxury tax, they don't give a shit and keep spending as much as they wish regardless..
