-WWE Tag Team Championship-
John Morrison/Miz (c) vs Edgeheads vs Finlay/Hornswoggle vs Jesse/Festus
As purveyors of "The Dirt Sheet," WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz have done a lot of smack talking as of late. Now they’ll have to back it up in a Fatal Four Way Tag Team Match with their title up for grabs against Finlay & Hornswoggle, Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder, and Jesse & Festus.
But, The Great American Bash won’t be the first time the eight Superstars have crossed paths in recent weeks.
At Night of Champions, John Morrison & The Miz defeated Finlay & Hornswoggle to retain their title. But on SmackDown, the father-son duo was able to defeat the champions, even though the bout was non-title. And on the July 1 episode of ECW, United States Champion Matt Hardy, Finlay & Hornswoggle defeated The Miz, John Morrison & Chavo Guerrero. The green team has made it clear – they want gold!
However, Finlay & Hornswoggle aren’t the champions’ only threat.
Jesse & Festus defeated Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder on the July 4 episode of SmackDown. But, Festus paid the price after the match, when Edge brutally smashed him over the head with a steel chair.
When Hawkins & Ryder step into the Fatal Four Way, will they have the support of Edge and “The Family” behind them? And, when the bell rings, who will be able to stop the corn-fed colossus, Festus, who has mauled many an opponent on SmackDown?
The reigning champions have repeatedly said they have no competition in WWE. They have backed up their claim by retaining the gold they have donned since last November. However, now the stakes are much higher as they must endure an onslaught from six Superstars. But before Sunday, they face their final test when they take on Jesse & Festus in a non-title match on SmackDown.
When all four teams collide in the massive pay-per-view encounter, which one will survive the mayhem and walk away with the gold?
