Streaks:
The Packers have won five of six to take a 49-46-1 overall series lead, including the playoffs.
Last week:
The Packers went on the road to beat the Rams, 36-17, behind three total touchdowns from QB Aaron Rodgers. ... Brett Favre connected with Greg Lewis for a 32-yard touchdown pass with 2 seconds left to give the Vikings a 27-24 win over the 49ers.
Keep your eye on ...
Favre facing his old teammates: This is the game Favre has been waiting for since leaving Green Bay. It took him a year, but Favre finally gets to go up against the Packers on the field. He's played relatively mistake-free football through three games, but that could change if he tries to do to much.
Student vs. mentor: As much as Favre wants to burn the Packers, Rodgers will get a chance to show he's the better quarterback at this point. Rodgers was Favre's backup for three years, but has emerged as the new face of the franchise in Green Bay. He's played well so far this season with four touchdowns and no interceptions.
Adrian Peterson stealing the show: As much as the two quarterbacks will be talked about before the game, the outcome could be determined by the play of the league's leading rusher. Peterson is averaging 6.1 yards per carry and already has four rushing touchdowns, numbers which could improve against Green Bay's 23rd ranked rush defense.
Did you know?
WR Donald Driver has 591 career catches and needs five more to pass Sterling Sharpe (595) for most by a Packer. ... Vikings DE Jared Allen has 59.5 sacks since 2004, which is the most in the NFL over that span. ... CB Charles Woodson has 22 interceptions in 49 games with Green Bay.
