Streaks
Tennessee has won four of the past five matchups, including a memorable 34-31 overtime win in the divisional round of the 2002 playoffs. The Steelers lead the overall series, 41-30, including the postseason.
Keep your eye on ...
The Haynesworth-less defensive line: In the five games that Albert Haynesworth (who signed with Washington in the offseason) did not start from 2007-08, Tennessee was just 1-4 and gave up an average of 27 points. On the bright side, that one win came against the Steelers last year and Pat Kirwan says that victory may have contributed to Tennessee's decision to let Haynesworth walk.
Willie Parker's ability to stay healthy: An ailing hamstring kept Parker out of three preseason games. This comes after he missed five games last year due to injury. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin says Parker will be the team's primary running back and Pittsburgh's offense is far more effective when he's at his best.
How big a role the crowd plays: Pittsburgh fans have been waiting for this game since last season. During their win against the Steelers last year, a pair of Titans (LenDale White and Keith Bulluck) stomped on the Terrible Towel. As if Steelers fans needed more reason to be fired up than it being the season-opener.
Did you know?
Since the NFL began the season on Thursday with the Kickoff game, the home team has won six of seven times. The Steelers won in their only appearance in the annual Thursday night opener at home against the Dolphins in 2006. ... Tennessee did not lose its first game last season until Week 12. ... The Steelers have not lost a season-opener since 2002.

I gotta go with the Titans on this one. Last year the Titans gave it to the Steelers in Nashville. Granted the game's gonna be in Pittsburgh, but the Titans have already been able to pressure Rothlisberger... and the Titan's running game has been fairly decent about the Steelers' D-line. It'll be a good game, and a great way to start the season! Go Titans go!

This is a 50/50 situation of who will win this game. Last year the Titans blew the Steelers out 31-14, I don't know if the Titans can defeat them at Heinz Field or not. This should be a good way to start the NFL season, having the Super Bowl defending champion Steelers, getting revenge on the Titans & LenDale White for stepping on the Terrible Towel.
